Nate is a master craftsman and an artist with construction and design. He created a handicap accessible deck with a ramp and entry into the cabin in two places. He remodeled the cabin to be fully accessible. His design and construction of the garage and carport were integrated in style, shape, materials and color with the cabin and two other outbuildings. There wasn't a problem he or his workers encountered that Nate wasn't able to solve or workaround. Installing all-new windows was a big challenge because the cabin walls were not straight and it took much problem solving and ingenuity to make the windows fit and look just fine. His crowning touch was such a simple thing. Because of the thick logs, it was necessary to use metal conduit in one place to have electricity. The bare metal didn't look good in the cabin. Nate thought about it, found a piece of contact paper that had a wood design. He cut it out carefully, used his heat gun to seal the paper in place and the metal conduit was no longer conspicuous. When we wanted to sell our home to move into the cabin, Nate hired a team to clean, fix up scratches and bumps, repaint, install new carpeting and get the place ready to sell. He had it in such good shape that it sold the first day it was listed in 2015. We wouldn't have anyone but Nate Olson do our carpentry!

He is there when he says he will be or he promptly lets us know of a necessary change - always reasonable and not long delays. He is easy to work with, listens carefully to our ideas and is very honest with us about what works and doesn't and often has his own suggestions to make something work better for us. He gives us complete breakdown of costs and materials and time estimation of the project. With our unique remodeling needs (old log cabin not square and even!) there were cost overruns and he told us up front what our options were, found ways to get around some of the problems, and handcrafted solutions when "normal" approaches wouldn't work.
