After signing a contract, it took him about 6 weeks to start but some of that wait time was waiting for the kitchen cabinets and windows to arrive. From the start to completion, this project took OVER 6 MONTH !  That is longer than it took my builder back in Two Rivers to build a 3200 sq ft home!  There were weeks when the kitchen sat with no one working and when they did come, it was usually for a half day.
Once the cabinets were installed, they measured for the counter top.  The top arrived and it didn't fit.  Another top ordered and was installed.  Due to no caulk being laid down, this top warped within one month... another top ordered installed.  Some of the cabinet doors were warped and to this date (4/14) I am still waiting on a door to be replaced. The cabinet people said "this almost never happens" yet I have had 5 doors replaced. 
The initial window over the sink was wrong and had to be reordered, removed and replaced.  We waited over 6 weeks for the patio door to finally arrive
The wiring that they did (I can't believe the guy was a licensed electrician) did not meet code and had to be repaired/replaced by an electrician I hired after the fact. The wiring in the attic which was supposed to be fixed was left undone with open junction boxes.
All-in-all, this was an experience I do not want to repeat.

IN THE BEGINNING WE WERE VERY SATISFIED. THEN HE WOULD REPORT WORK AS BEING DONE AND IT WAS NOT. DEADLINES MEAN NOTHING TO THIS GUY, ONLY AS PACIFIERS TO GET YOU OFF THE PHONE.  THIS HOME SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE LAST MAY AND THEIR STILL ARE THINGS NOT COMPLETED.  THE QUALITY OF WORK WAS EXCELLENT, THE PRICE WAS GOOD, BUT THE ONLY WAY I WOULD HIRE THIS GUY AGAIN IS WITH A BIG PENALTY CLAUSE FOR DELAYS AND WORK NOT COMPLETED.

Made the call for the estimate, showed up the next day at arranged time. Called him back a few days later tp accept the bid. Arranged time to meet to sign contract. Paid for materials up front. Window needed to be ordered so he called when it came in, arranged for instill. He called day before to confirm time, showed up did the install very quickly, excellent clean up. I paid for services and he was on his was. To my surprise, I received a call from him about 2 weeks after install to make sure I was happy with the work and that there were no problems. Wont ever use anyone else again!
