It went very well. He was very busy so the work was delayed a couple of weeks but he kept me informed through the process.

Great! I had called three roofers for an estimate. Lar-Sons showed up at my door with sample shingles, made measurements, described what he would do, worked up a written estimate, handed it to me and left. Another contractor showed up the next day with no sample shingles, made measurements, described what he would do - which included a 3' rather than 6' water/ice guard and the reuse of my current metal edging - said his partner would mail me an estimate and then he left. The third contractor left a message on my answering machine asking me to call him back. We played telephone tag until I grew tired of it. I waited two or three more days and then drove to Rick Larson's home - about 30 miles - and signed his contract. His workers were on my roof when an estimate arrived from the second contractor. It was about $800 less and still no sample shingles or photos thereof. I pitched it.
