This project has been a horrible experience. After two + years of trying to get this project complete, both the vendor (Gerkin Windows & Doors) and the seller (Ultimate Home Concepts) have refused to stand behind their product and installed a door that becomes a sheet of ice during winter temperatures. While both Matt George (Gerkin Sales Rep) and Joe Griger (Pres. Ultimate Home Concepts) have conducted site visits, neither have delivered on their professional reputation and they will not stand behind their product. They have left us with a defective door during the winter and we're out $1500 on a product neither one will stand behind. We selected Ultimate Home Concepts based on their website claim their work is fully guaranteed and their primary focus is delivering great client service. This turned out to not be true.

Everything from initial contact to completion went good. Quality of the doors installed was way above what was available in the big box home improvement stores. Quality installation with attention to detail.

I entered a previous review on Oct. 16. At the time I was dissatisfied that the company didn't follow through with an estimate. We had a rough beginning but Joe eventually did contact me and I got the estimate that I thought was very fair. Then there was a misunderstanding with the estimate and of exactly what I wanted to be done. But Joe and his company proved they are a company of integrity and stood by what I expected to be done. They followed through and did an excellent job. I'm still waiting for the window repair but that isn't their fault. The company providing the parts did not send the right ones. But Joe did call me to let me know he has reordered and still plans to complete that job too. Thank you Joe and Ultimate Home Concepts for proving there are companies who care about their customers and the work they do.

His installer arrived on time and performed the installation of both the front door and storm door with an amazing amount of skill, craftsmanship and finishing. My husband watched the entire 5 hour process and stated it was the finest home upgrade he had ever witnessed. The installer continuously cleaned up as he worked. All trash, including the old doors were taken away. Although we signed a contract Joe would not accept any payment until the job was done and we were satisfied with it. He also provided a warranty for the materials and labor. We highly recommend Joe and his company and plan to use them again for other projects.

I requested three contractors to bid on replacing two rotted out windows. While two of the three were cheaper in price, I felt that Ultimate's Home Concepts suggestion of cutting out the two double hung windows and replacing them with a single slider unit to improve the view of the outdoors from the basement level was a better option.

The experience was excellent overall! Joe was very conscientious, did a wonderful job from start to finish, and cleaned everything up. The window frames were insulated before the windows were installed, and it was a professional, outstanding job. We had no problems!

We have 21 windows to replace, and they've been installing these by bit by bit. Overall, the experience has been excellent! We had a bad experience with a contractor who re-sided our home, and the work ended up costing $5-$6,000 more than what was quoted. With Ultimate Custom Home, it's been a complete opposite experience. Joe has been incredibly honest, provided us with an estimate that he's stuck to, and installs the windows as exactly as said. He's been very good to deal with!

When I stopped by their store and was greeted by the owner who was very nice, and did not pressure me. He listened to what I wanted. The day after I was told the door came in, the guy who came to install the door was clean and very polite and on time. This company was very professional but friendly, too. All of the employees made me feel I was an important customer.
