We wanted our dining room ceiling light connected to the wall switch. Had to call 5 times. Never had the ability to schedule or take a message. Would ask us to “call again on such and such date or time”. Don’t answer your phone then. After stopping by the first time told my wife he would have to open up the walls to find out what he could do. When asked how big of a “hole” we were talking about, wouldn’t give us an answer or any ballpark quote of price. Upon a follow up visit for an actual estimate on the light switch being rewired to the ceiling fixture, got up on a ladder and told my wife “well here’s your problem <pause> I can rewire this for you”. After connecting 2 wires that were already there to the light fixture in a matter of 30 seconds, asked my wife for $65 and didn't even provide a receipt. Before he left, my wife checked the dimmer switch which allowed the light to turn on/off but not dimming. “Oh, you’ll need a new dimmer switch” and left without offering any help with that. Followed up with a phone call to him for clarity about charge and lack of estimates for proposed work. He told me it was charged as a “service” call and that he doesn’t supply dimmer switches as people like all different kinds. Told me he would stop by and install one if I picked one up. Picked one up and told him I’d see him later. Never showed up (2 days later as I type this). Whenever asked about estimates, he couldn’t provide any and everything was conditional. It depends if “this or that” happens or is discovered. Still hasn’t provided us with any. Overall, I’d imagine he knows what he’s doing electrically, but from business standpoint, we were turned off completely by his lack of professionalism. Had he came out the first time to not only check the wall switch, but the ceiling light as well, and just told us "this will cost $65 to connect" we would have been happy to have our light connected right then and there for the price.
