Casey was punctual, precise, and of expert quality. He took time to educate about safety features of the home we were looking to purchase. His report was thorough, detailed yet easy to understand. A true professional and a valuable piece of our home purchase.

BUYER BEWARE! Don't make the same costly mistake we did by hiring Wisconsin Inspection Consultants - use someone else!!! A shoddy $400 inspection has now cost us over $4,000!
Adam failed to convey to us that our house had antiquated knob and tube wiring, which is a safety hazard and we have subsequently had to replace at a cost of over $4,000. The very point of a home inspector is to alert the buyer to issues like this, and to clearly communicate what these issues are with the property. Had Adam clearly told us that there was knob and tube wiring (the words do not appear in his report), we would have taken it up with the sellers before closing. This did not happen, and his negligence has caused great financial and emotional hardship to our family.
Furthermore, this wiring should have been noted as a potential defect, since he did observe insulation in the walls and was aware that knob and tube wiring through insulation raises a serious safety issue. (Our home insurance company would have dropped us had we not made the repairs!) Regulation requires that an inspector describe any possible observed health or safety hazard.
Not only did Wisconsin Inspection Consultants fail at their job, they now are refusing to accept responsibility. We are currently hiring a lawyer.
Additionally - it seems minor now, but Angie asks about punctuality - Adam was very late to the inspection, which was not only an inconvenience to us, but caused us to inconvenience the sellers by staying much longer than agreed upon.

Although he thought our appointment was an hour later, he hurried over after I called his office and removed $25 from the bill. He went through the whole house and crawled all over the attic. Went through each room looking at such items as the electrical outlets, whether the gas line was properly installed, told me the water heater was 18 yrs old, looked at such items as the glazing on the windows and the baseboards in the bedrooms. There were no significant or glaring deficiencies, but I was able to request some repairs and fixes to a number of smaller items. I was quite pleased to find there were no defects.

I contacted Wisconsin Inspection Consultants based a review from another highly rated Angie's List Provider that could not accommodate our timeline contingency. The woman answering the phone at their office was very friendly and scheduled me right away and gave me Adam's cell phone number for follow-up if I needed it. Our inspection went really well. Adam is incredibly thorough, very polite, and straightforward and honest when it comes to inspecting homes. He's experienced and it shows, in addition to being a good person. The price is great as well!

We purchased a foreclosed home. The contract allowed us 7 days for the home inspection. WIC was very accommodating to our schedule. Adam spent over three hours going over the home and answering questions. We were equally impressed that our realtor already knew of Adam from previous inspections and also gave him high marks. The experience of buying a foreclosed home with a thorough inspection, gave us a piece of mind. We got exactly what we wanted in this home inspection - facts about the property.
