Urgent Computer Care

I just picked up my computer from Urgent
Computer Care and I would not recommend this company. The girl behind the
company was very rude and not helpful. I took my computer in for a virus
removal, when they called to say it was fixed the company left a message in my
voicemail explaining that they could not remove the virus and had to wipe my
computer. I did not authorize them to wipe my computer, all I wanted is the the
virus removed, if they were unable to remove the virus then I feel they should
have called me before taking it upon themselves to wipe it out, as a result my
husband lost all of his games along with other information, as well as my virus
protection and malware, they installed thier own virus protection. When I asked
to have the computer hooked up so that I could verify that it was working
before i took it home I was told that was not possible and that I could take it
home and if it did not work then I could bring it back. I explained to the girl
that when I brought it in I asked about the warranty and was told it was
warranted until it leaves the store and that it could be hooked up to an
internet line before I took it home to confirm that it was working. The girl
again told me she could not hook it up. I then asked if she could please call someone
and she said she was the only person there, I said "they have phones don't
they, can you please call them" Very reluctantly she did. When the owner
called her back she put me on the phone and I talked to Deb and told her that I
would like the computer hooked up so I could verify the virus was gone. Deb
told me it was removed-so she was not willing to comply with hooking it up.
When I explained to her that I did not authorize them to wipe out the computer,
only to remove the virus and when they could not remove the virus I should have
been called before they proceeded any further, she said that was the only way
she could remove the virus. Kind of like I took my car in for an oil change and
instead the company puts a new motor in without my authorization. I told Deb
that I wanted the computer hooked up so I could verify that it was working. She
told the girl how to hook my computer up. Once it was turned on, I still had no
internet access so I asked her if it was hooked up to an internet line because
I could not access the internet, she said absolutely nothing and continued to
type away on her computer, after about 3 minutes she comes over and connects it
to internet (still not saying anything to me, no apology or anything). So now I
go to pay and I ask for a detailed invoice on what they did to it, she said I
could not have one. When I advised her that I would be sure to leave my
information on Angies List she replied "Well you do what you gotta
do." Then she told me my business was no longer welcome there.The invoice
I got only shows virus removal and what I paid, so I still have nothing to show
what was done to it.This company is extremely rude and very uncooperative, does
not provide a detailed invoice of work preformed
