This inspection was a total waste of time and hard earned money! He failed to check the operation of most of the appliances. He neglected to inform us that the three decks weren't built in a safe to code manner. He wrote that the sump pump was in good condition and working properly. The only problem is that there is no sump pump and most likely it should have one! When I asked about these things, he could only say that he's not a code guy! He didn't check the operation of the ceiling lights, and the first time my wife turned on a set of kitchen ceiling lights, one caught on fire and fell to the floor after it melted. He did have a handyman put some joist hangers and extra bolts on the main deck, but nothing on the other two. The spaces between the posts are to far apart, and not safe for small children. Without joist hangers, the deck could have failed! The garbage disposal doesn't work! This inspection was a total waste of time, and money, just a big show! He even used pictures and information from a previous inspection!
