I got lucky with my choice from the phone book as a first time customer last year. This spring I needed locksmith services again and I knew who to call without hesitation. Even though I was out-of-state at the time and gave short notice, they made it easy for me.
I talked to Bill, who asked a bunch of questions about the locks that I wasn't able to answer. He was able to get the info he needed by asking detailed questions about the key. Using e-mail and the phone we were able to make arrangements.
They appeared exactly on time, meeting my local contact. They worked effeciently. There was a tense moment, when the evicted renter showed up. They were calm, silently finished the work, and stalled a bit to insure the situation was neutralized.
Score based on 1 to 10 = 11. There is no corporate run-around like from a big box store. They are a highly skilled, small local business that understands the area and customer's need.
No one ever wants to need a locksmith. These guys made it nearly painless. I was actually glad to pay for this job.
