my kids must have put a virus on my laptop so I took it in. I have heard good things from neighbors about him. He took a quick look at the computer and gave me several options on getting rid of the bug. I decided to get the computer wiped out and he sold me windows 7. I didn't want windows 8 when I bought the computer and I didn't know that Kurt sold computers with windows 7. I HATE WINDOWS 8 it is way too different then what I have been used to and he helped me get rid of the junk. The manufacturer also shoved a bunch of advertising junk on the computer when I bought it and now all that crap is gone too. it works great, I have a version of windows I actually know how to use without swearing.
"I gave the customer the benefit of the doubt and attempted to recover the key from windows at no extra charge. when that failed, I then contacted them with the new prices. I would not have proceeded until I received an go ahead from the customer which took a while for them to get back to me I understand the customers frustration but disagree that I should be the brunt of it for a faded product key that was outside my control. Please keep in mind that the quote from best buy would not have covered this issue and they would have tried to sell the customer a new computer instead when they did not need one. Best buy will only do a restore from a factory restore set that the customer would have to order from the manufacturer. The restore would have been to original factory settings and would not have removed advertising software or update all the drivers and updates."
