Tim, the manager or owner at this moving company originally gave a quote to my mother over the phone related to a per hour charge. Keep in mind, we were a repeat customer. After spending 8 hours with us on move day, he handed me a bill. I barely looked at it, since it had been a long day. I paid and he left. The next day I looked at the bill again, and noticed he charged me an extra $20 per hour! I called him, and didn't receive an immediate call back. He took several days. When we finally connected, he acted surprised when I told him what the phone quote he gave us was. Instead of $120, I said I'd take $100 refund. He said he'd have the check in the mail that day. So ....3 days go buy - no check. Then four days. Then I'm upset. I reach out again, he says "they've been really busy." He hasn't sent it out yet. So he again promises to send the check out. I wait - again - another 4 days. At this point, I'm livid. I contact him again and he says he sent the check out. WOW. I finally said I was tired of wasting my time and had given him the time & opportunity to make things right, and he had not, so I was going to call my credit card company and the better business bureau. He actually told me that I was being unreasonable. This guy has no shame nor professionalism. He said he'd drop the check off at my home on Sunday. He finally dropped it off on Monday morning. Needless to say, I would not recommend ever using Brew City Movers. Very unethical and unprofessional. And, to top it off, they damaged some of our furniture.

Overall it went pretty well. I had a lot of stuff, but even so it took longer than both me and the owner/contact estimated by about 2 hours. They were very, very good about protecting items so they wouldn't be broken during the move, and they also let me & my family help load/unload which did help things move a bit faster. My only complaint was that when I stopped and took a break, they slowed down noticeably.
But all in all they were certainly the cheapest price I found, and I was pleased with the level of service.

Terrible. This company stole some of the items we asked them to move. We were able to retrieve our stolen bikes but not the other items. They also broke some of our items, such as our Grandfather clock. We do not recommend anyone else use this company, ever.

We couldn't be more pleased with the service. The team was incredibly helpful, fast and thorough. They helped install some furniture for us and moved a few things around the offices when we changed our minds on location. We had been told that we should go with a "corporate" mover rather than a "household" moving company, but Brew City Movers does both -- and does it very well. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Tim Angellotti of Brew City Movers was recommended by a neighbor, who was mid- move at that time. She has since discovered what I have.Tim's staff is all part-timers who have no concerns about job security.Total amateurs who may actually be baggage handlers,as that is how my things were treated.Tim lied many times.During our first conversation,I inquired about Senior discounts or coupons .Stated he offered a senior discount only(bill did not reflect this) and I recently discovered a 20% off coupon in the Yellow Pages.Could have used that extra $ to restore damaged items.Completely under estimated the number of hours and trips needed to complete the job.He is supposed to be the professional.Discovered Tim will glad hand you every step of the way. All with a big smile,of course. Was told by an employee this was more often the case.Don't fall for the "shrink-wrap" claim. Tim told me I could leave clothing in the dresser drawers.I expressed that some were of Ikea quality and he assured me the shrink-wrap process would accommodate them.Well,it wasn't done until after they were on the truck and by then it was too late.Everything had shifted and most drawers won't open or close properly.Hours assembling them and now they are basically junk.I personally witnessed an extremely heavy, cherished mirror shatter on the driveway.100 days after the fact,I am still waiting for his offer of replacement. He won't even return the frame so I can replace it myself.Things were thrown against the sump pump and bent the float beyond repair. Many things were broken, damaged or both on a 3 mile move! Both handles on my hose reels were snapped off and are useless. Most wood furniture has gouges or scratches.Walls are also in the same condition. These people didn't care at all.Upholstered items arrived dirty and I can't understand why. We only moved THREE MILES!Unfortunately, I couldn't supervise as closely as I would have liked.I informed Tim and his staff several times that the woman they were moving has early Alzheimer's and that she only had one helper. And had in the 2 weeks prior to the move lost 2 sisters to the disease. He was well aware that we needed to be out with time to clean before closing. We were given many excuses why it was taking longer than stated. They finally finished on a Sun. evening. We finished at 2am for a 9 am Mon. closing to be immediately followed by a funeral. When it came time to settle up,I inquired about tipping and added the standard suggestion only to discover later some employees had already been given cash.Unconscionable.The receipt was a blank lined piece of paper,no logo,no signature,no discount.Tim said he would be there every step of the way.He wasn't.I should have Googled them first,as many reviews echo mine.We are still slowly unpacking and daily discover some other ruined item.Tim Angellotti seems to be a very accomplished liar and will say whatever it takes to get your hard earned money in his pocket and you off of his back.Horrible experience during an already stressful time.
