The work and process was fine and I was updated regularly. However, toward the end of the project, the general manager was not there each day as we ended up having trash and other construction remnants left that we ended up cleaning up and taking care of.

"What????? I can't even find this customer in any of my records. The time he said I did the work doesn't match any of my records. Because I did an addition for [member name removed](below) and [member name removed] (below) and I have no idea who this person is lol.... This needs to be removed because this person is not even my customer."

Just because a person is listed on Angie's list does not mean the contractor does quality work.
Contractor made promises he did not keep i.e. cut the phone line but did not make connections to get it repaired.
One wall is not straight, the floor where the new house meets the old is not level and the bathroom door was not put in the correct place.
The crew upset the neighbors with their swearing and lack of controlling construction trash.
The crew let a pail of concrete and cigarette buts on the front porch the trash company would not take it.

"Just because a person gives a review doesn't mean it's accurate. This customer had absolutely nothing to say until it was time to pay his bill. Then all of a sudden it was this and it was that (I have the text messages to prove he's lying). I offered to address any concerns he might have and he miraculously refused for me to fix his imaginary (didn't want to pay) complaints. The fact is this customer has no legitimate gripes because if he really did he would have had me fix them when I offered to fix them and take a look at them and even tried to set up a time to meet with him so he can point out the "so called issues" he refused. Now why would a customer say something is wrong and then turn around and refuse to have them fixed. Because they are made up, that's why. The phone line issue was done by the Excavator which the homeowner was fully aware of because I called him and told him that and at the time he didn't care because he wasn't going to put a phone back in the building (use a cell phone instead) he said (short term memory apparently). If anyone wants to see the beautiful job that was done and the before and after pictures just go to [hyperlink removed] and all the pictures are there to view so you can judge for yourself. Bottom line is this customer was happy all the way up to the time of final payment. I offered to address his concerns, he refused (because there was nothing to fix). Only after threatening to put a lein on his house did he decide to pay the final amount due. Which he tried to negotiate down to what he thought he should owe. But in reality he got an awesome addition and kitchen remodel that added value to his home and there's absolutely nothing wrong with any of it. I've been doing this for over 25 years and every once in a while you run into a customer who adds this and adds that. then has a problem with funds to pay for everything and tries to knitpick their way out of paying for all the extras and as a result you get this.... Leaving a comment on a forum (because he can) to complain about nothing (in the end) so he can get out of paying for a bill. I guarantee all my jobs for 10 YEARS. So even now to this day if he really and truly has issues on any work my company performed I would be happy to fix them for FREE. But I know he will never respond to this or call me because there are no issues. In case you forgot my phone number is 608 617-6360"

He gave us a fair estimate and a timeline. He kept it in the estimated cost and completed on time. Very friendly and efficient.
