I was very pleased by the way they handled the situation. He was able to get in and have the surgery done very quickly. I had a couple of questions a few days after surgery and they were very prompt in getting back to me with an answer.

It went very well. They gave us great instructions as to what we were to do for the next several months as far as therapy and exercise. They had emergency numbers so we could call at anytime if we had questions. I was very pleased at how it was all handled.
The only complaint I have is he had is own feces all over the leg that had the surgery preformed on. Not only was I concerned about infection but also the soiling of my car. We washed it as soon as we got home.

I have been using Lakeside since around 2000 (when the original Dr. Schatz was its head vet). I have nothing but good things to say about this clinic. They have always provided great care at a good value. Over 14 years of service, they have done all the usual things like vaccinations and neutering, but also helped me with a puppy with congenital eye disease (she is 12 now, blind but healthy). Young Dr. Schatz also saved a badly broken leg when a different puppy was knocked (by the neighbor's dog which runs loose) under a car pulling into our driveway. Three months after surgery (which the emergency clinic said probably wouldn't work), that puppy was sound as a dollar on all 4 legs and he remains so today, five years later. Then three years ago this month, my old dog had to be put down and it was terribly h****** me. I will never forget how kind everyone was. The clinic is bigger now (more different vets) than when it was just the two Dr. Schatz's, but I still feel like they are part of my team.

They do a pretty good job. One of my cats has a reoccurring, respiratory condition that they haven't been able to do anything about so I'm going to go to a different vet to see if there's anything they can do. We really like them though and they've taken care of several issues with my cats.

They were very good. We recommend them to other people and we will use them again in the future.

I believed that my 15 yr old cat had a stroke. While they were not able to get me in that night, they did right away the next morning. The vet did everything she could think of to help him recover, including several vet schools in the state. My cat stayed overnight for observation by many of the docs, but no one could figure out what had happened and the tests all came back normal. The Vet had me call in his status at home every other day. Needless to say, he made a full recovery and is doing well. I have been taking my cats and dog to this clinic for approx. 12 yrs and have always found the docs to be very professional, knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond. This is not the first time one of the docs has called me to check on the health status of one of my animals and I have appreciated it! In those 12 yrs, the only complaint I have had is that they typically run 30 or more min late for appts.

Classic happy ending. My dog has a perfectly normal life after a catastrophic injury.
