The rep from Harold Carpenter arrived within the time span they had given me (the same day as I called, which was fantastic). He was professional, knowledgeable, a nice guy to talk to, and he quickly got everything back in working order. He explained what was required and that he had to replace a few parts. They sent an invoice and I felt the pricing was very fair and it was exactly what I had been told. It was a very positive experience and I would definitely call Harold Carpenter in the future.

I was unable to open my garage door last May, so I called to request to have someone come to repair it. I spoke with Lois who informed me that I may pay a higher fee for their service than other companies in the Fox Valley, which struck me as a bit odd to start the conversation in that manner, but I agreed because I was desperate to gain access to items in my garage. Someone did come promptly to my home and was immediately able to open the door. One of the springs had snapped and needed to be replaced and he also recommended installing safety cables. (It is a one car garage built in the 1930's with a manual garage door.) The garage door does not stay opened without propping it up with something since the door was repaired. I am disappointed to have spent $265 for approximately an hour of time to have a whole new problem created. I did appreciate how quickly someone was able to come to my home to open my garage, but certainly am unable to give a better review for the overall experience.

Prompt, respectful, knowledgeable and honest. The installer said to hold off on part of the project until warmer weather rather than just putting the part on. I will be doing business with them again.

They did an outstanding job cleaned up well after themselves they were a top notch company. You pay for it but they deliver well worth the price a good quality product.

I called on the phone and spoke with the founder's daughter. She was very pleasant, professional and helpful.
When I came home the door was fixed and working properly. Also got some great tips on preventive maintenance for the future.
They billed me and didn't ask for a credit card up front, which I appreciated. Kind of like business the old fashioned way.

I placed a phone call to Harold Carpenter, Inc. on Saturday, 6/23 and left a voice message. My call was returned the next day, Sunday, 6/24 and the repairman was at my home on Monday, 6/25 to make the repair. He was courteous, helpful and professional. He brought the appropriate tools and supplies and made the repair quickly, cleaned up and was on his way. I can always count on this company for their excellent (and reasonably priced) service.

Excellent, from first sales meeting to completion. Door looks wonderful and workers cleaned and left a completely finished project. Easy and stress free for the consumer. Excellent quality
