Drew did the home inspection on our new home, and I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and how thorough he was. He was very knowledgeable and described the whole inspection during the process to make sure we understood. We would definitely recommend Basten Inspections!

I have hired Basten Home Inspection for multiple inspections now ranging from commercial property (storage facilities), to multi family investment properties. I cant say enough about how thorough and insightful he is when doing the inspection. His reports are excellent and I can usually get the seller to remedy any issues he finds because he explains the needs so well in person and in his reports. The back office personnel are also great to work with. We had a snafu with scheduling and without hesitation or complaint a new day was scheduled and we knocked out the inspection. Andy is fantastic while doing the inspection. He explains what he is looking for and why and even what it generally takes to remedy a problem and "gustimates" some costs so you can have an idea of what your getting into. I've even had to call and ask some follow up questions after an inspection and Andy was more than willing to respond promptly and help answer them. Basten Home Inspection was integral in helping me successfully kick off my property management business by making sure I was buying at the right price and quality properties. Great job all around, from "concept to carton" at Basten inspection. Highly recommended!

Was great, overall very satisfying. Very thorough, detailed but also efficient. Very systematic throughout the house in a stepwise fashion. All the potential issues explained and discussed in depth with estimates of what should and who should do the repairs were all very sound and correct.

Report was given in good detail on sight and in via email.

Was not at all disappointed and actually gained a good friend to a town or area that we were new and just moving into. Good resource in the future also.

My first home inspection went smoothly with Andy. He also tested independently for radon. Prompt, courteous and patient with my million questions! Highly recommend!

Andy came highly recommended to us by 3
individuals who used him in the past. I was leery about hiring an inspector for
a new construction as there are numerous inspections done by both the
municipality and company.
Andy arrived on time and spent the first 15 minutes giving me his history in
the construction industry, which was vast. He was friendly, personable, and
very easy to talk to. He was able to translate industry speak into a level
which I could understand. Any concerns that were raised, he would go into
detail on what the severity level was and why he raised it as a potential
concern.
Andy informed me even new constructions can have their problems; jobs are
almost all sub-contracted out. Items may be technically up to code, but
shortcuts can deteriorate the integrity over time. In a number of locations, he
pointed out some of the and quot;above and beyondand quot; pieces, such as proper
caulking to seal duct work and exterior nails. In the end, I was very happy and
comfortable knowing we were purchasing a quality built home.
The price was slightly higher than I estimated, but the quality of work and his
industry knowledge were certainly worth the cost.
I highly recommend Basten Home Inspection.

Mr. Basten does a thorough top to bottom inspection. Great attention to detail, knowledgeable, allows plenty of time to get the job done without rushing. Comprehensive and easily understandable written report and verbal feedback. Friendly, engaging, and personable. This is the second time I've used this company and they'll be the first I call if I need a home inspection in the future.

We are first time home-buyers and wanted to make sure that we were getting a solid, well-built new home. Andy met with me on time and immediately began his inspection in a friendly, thorough and professional manner. Not only did he check over ever inch of the house and surrounding property, he took the time to carefully explain each step of the process and what he was looking for. He even provided helpful tips for the future and steps I could take to prevent common issues from becoming problems in the future. I was skeptical of purchasing an inspection fro a new construction home, but just because it's new, doesn't mean it was done right. No major issues were found during the inspection, but I firmly believe that it was worth every cent. He has been performing all of the inspections himself for 20+ years so he is able to keep the cost near the low-end of local competitors. Andy was a great help to this newbie and I would recommend him to anyone looking to have inspection services performed on their property.
