Tell us the story from start to finish (10,000 character limit): I originally got the estimate the summer of 2016. It was for $650.00. Patchwork was extra. I was to call him in the fall.They started the floor on 12/5/2016. I paid him $350.00 to start. He came over on 12/10/16 to pick up his check. My fridge and stove had been moved to another room. His partner/co-worker wasn't with him, so he started to move the fridge by himself. I did try to help him, but the fridge was too heavy. While moving it into place, it made a "dent" in the finish. by then, his partner came and he helped with the stove. I asked Robert when he was going to remove the bag of sawdust and the pieces of vinyl that were on the grass next to the garage. He stated that wasn't in the estimate and that it would cost me another $50.00. The $650.00 had already gone up $50.00 because of the patch. So, I paid him an additional $50.00 for a total on the 2nd check of $400.00. didn't come to remove the sawdust and vinyl and when I called to question why that hadn't been done, he stated I never paid him to do that. I told him I had the proof and he was going to come the next thurs. to pick it up. Then, he texted me that he had located his copy of the estimate and there was nothing on it, and refused to pick up the sawdust, etc. He also stated that the vinyl removal took longer that he figured. I kept his texts on my phone, and I also left the proof in my back door for over a month.
