Mortgage Companies
We received a solicitation from Envoy, and their rates looked good. I
told them that I did not want to put the time and money into the process
unless we were assured that we were approved for the refinance. They
told us that they would know after the appraisal. We paid for the
appraisal, and it came in at the correct amount to complete the
refinance. We then spent three months collecting all required
paperwork. We also paid for the subordination. Without warning and
just prior to closing, Envoy decided to reject their own appraisal -
rejecting us for the loan. We were lead to believe that it was a done
deal, and we would not have done three months of work otherwise. At the
very least they should reimburse us for the direct expenses, but they
have refused. I would not recommend Envoy. Our agent was Resa Warren.
