We had previously contacted them regarding a whole house remodel. They did their work for the bid that they quoted. They were very competitive with their price. We dealt closely with the owner, Jim Bartelme. They had an excellent carpenter on staff. They were very professional and even cleaned up every day. They completed the work in one week. We were extremely pleased with their work.

This company was a nightmare to work with!  They were unprofessional, tardy, and tried to overcharge at every turn.  The owner of the company had to come over three times to measure the bathroom before we could begin ordering supplies which was just the beginning of his lack of detail and lack of pride in his work.  The workers were unprofessional, fought on the job and worked at a snails pace.  We actually had to fire the main worker from the job because his work was so bad and his attitude was even worse.  The sub contractors damaged our property and did poor work.  To this day there are still items in the bathroom that the tile subs (Bergson Tile) were supposed to fix and they never followed up.  The "professional" painter is the owners wife and her work was also poor as was her demeanor.  The list of mishaps on this job are too many to rehash.  This was a simple bathroom remodel with no walls coming down and reusing our existing vanity.  Put in a new tub/shower, toilet, tile, sink/faucet, and paint.  That was it!  We had a granite company come install the granite counters so the work that need to be done by Bartelme was EASY!  This job took them almost 8 weeks to complete and almost everything that was done had to be redone (sometimes several times) due to the poor quality of work that was being done by the workers.  The owner even had to come over several times and tell his workers "I don't want to have to babysit you".  Probably the worst part of this experience; however, was the owners blatant attempt to constantly try to charge of for items that weren't even in the bathroom or for services never done.  As homeowners we hadn't expected to be Bartelme's accountants and  foreman on the job but that's what it became.  We are not talking hundreds or even a thousand dollars over here...we are talking THOUSANDS of dollars.   At first we chalked it up to oversight on the owners part, but over time it became obvious that the charges were no "accident". We have worked with dozens of professionals over the years and we have never had such a poor experience as this. 

They did a fabulous job. They did it way under priced in reference to other builders that I got quotes from. They did it in a very fast timeframe. They had excellent carpenters. The communication was excellent. The cleanup was good and everything was done quickly. Their price was excellent. The work was done very professionally. They used top grade equipment. Any problems that were encountered were corrected immediately. They did it at a very minimal cost. There was some damage that was not uncovered initially and those problems were included in the rebid. They did a superb job in correcting all the problems.

The project took about six months to complete. They were excellent to work with! The professionalism was great! We lived in the home while they were working. I also work out of my home. They were very courteous. The subcontractors that they used were also great. They made a difficult transition a great experience. It was fun working with them. I would highly recommend them to others.
