The project became more complicated when taking out the old door and sidelight. Rob found a damaged header - from carpenter ants. He replaced the header and other damaged wood. Project Overall: He ordered the door based upon our discussions and research; he took delivery at his shop; he stained the frame on the inside, stained the door inside and outside; painted the outside frame; he then delivered the door/frame/sidelights to our home; he replaced the door header and other wood frame material to correct the water/carpenter ant damage; installed the frame, door and sidelights; he reinstalled the original storm door into the new frame; he touched up everything where needed. The new entryway is wonderful.
