Binner Pools, Spas & Fireplaces

A few weeks later Mr. Binner put in the new fireplace. It is so powerful, it sets off the smoke detectors. My mom spoke on the phone with Mr. Binner who suggested she keep it on low. That works, but my mom wanted a fireplace for primarily decorative purposes - to see the flames burning brightly. And even on low, when it shuts off, the loud blower continues for up to 3 hours. She paid an additional $1500 on the day it was installed, plus $125 (they noticed some corrosion in the chimney and took care of it.) for a total of $4325. Mr. Binner responded to my phone call and emailed me a link to one other fireplace insert, but no price was listed. After looking online with no success in discovering the price, I emailed back the same afternoon and asked for the price of the model and the one that he installed at my mom's. That was 3 days ago and he has not responded. My mom does not want Mr. Binner to come back and replace it because she feels as an elderly woman it will be stressful to have him back in her home. I live out of state. And since spring is on its way she plans on replacing it next fall with a recommendation from someone she trusts. So basically she is out over $4300 for something Mr. Binner should not have put in if he had any concern for his customers' satisfaction vs. $$$, and another sum for a new unit that meets her needs. That's rotten.
