It went terribly. Problems with the furnace continued for months. Mr. Coutts had to bring some people in from Trane to try to resolve the issues. Periodically the furnace would just not heat and had to be reset manually by me. On February 10, 2006 the furnace went out completely on a weekend. Mr. Coutts had previously told me to call a particular place in West Bend if I had problems if he was ever gone. He also told me to tell them to send him the bill. I called Mr. Coutts leaving a message about what happened. He did call back, was not happy about the bill, but said he would take care of it. The same thing happened two weeks later. This time Mr. Coutts did not return my calls and I began getting overdue bills from the furnace company who had come. I continued to try to contact Mr. Coutts both at work and on his home phone. No response and I have not heard from him since. I had to have other service calls to try to repair a leaking problem from the bottom of the furnace and a plugged line with water buildup in the secondary heat exchanger. On December 10, 2012, the furnace died completely and I had to have a new furnace installed. The furnace had completely rusted out inside. After the old furnace was taken away, the new installer (Mr. Vogel) and I realized too late that Mr. Coutts had never written down the serial number or model number anywhere on my receipts. I called Mr. Coutts that same day plus two other times with no response. All I wanted was the serial number because the Trane company was willing to work with me on the warranty but had to have the serial number. My new installer knew Mr. Coutts because Mr. Coutts had worked for him before he started his own business. Mr. Vogel offered to call and did get ahold of Mr. Coutts. Mr. Coutts first told him that he didn't remember me, then said that he could tell quite a story about "that one". He told Mr. Vogel he would give it a 3-minute look and call him back if he found anything. Mr. Coutts never called either one of us back. I would never recommend him to anyone. His behavior was unacceptable and most unprofessional.

He really did his research and was very knowledgeable. He provided us with a lot of great information. He was very consumer oriented. He also corrected some misinformation given to us by previous service providers.

High quality work, at a fair price, and they were honest.

STEVE WAS EXTREMELY HONEST, PLEASANT, ESTIMATED THE JOB TO BE APPROXIMATELY $700, BUT WHEN THE JOB WAS FINISHED, OUR FEE WAS $600. THE JOB WAS DONE WITHIN AN HOUR AND A HALF. HE WAS VERY CLEAN AND NEAT! MY HUSBAND AND I WERE THINKING OF INSTALLING CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING AND WOULD MOST DEFINITELY HIRE STEVE AGAIN. ONE THING I LIKED ABOUT HIM WAS, ALTHOUGH HE DOESNT WORK IN THE MILWAUKEE AREA, HE MADE A SPECIFIC TRIP BECAUSE OF TOM COLBY.
