Kustom Kerry Remodeling

Good job overall. We got a quote for his services, and we agreed to pay for building supplies. In his quote, he failed to let us know that 'Finish" work wasn't included in the price quoted... That was expected by him to be approx $1000. We found this out about 2 weeks into project. .. Well, we worked it out, but just always check that all bases are covered when quote given. It came down to he thought we understood that Finish work is never included. We didn't. :) Kerry does all framing, plumbing installation of bathroom tub, sink, cabinets. He contracts out drywall, painting, electrical. We used Macham Electric for Electrician- good work, good price, quirky guy but honest and anal ;) He did excellent trim work at the end and built a nice Bar, passthrough window sill/ tabletop by hand. Oh also, if you agree to paying for supplies, make sure you know he expects you to run to Home Depot for him. If you frown on this, then don't agree to it and make sure he understands you won't be doing this! Kerry, the owner is good guy, and a very hard worker, but swears like a sailor, so if you have small children around make sure to tell him to not do it when present. If I had another project, I'd seriously consider him, just would make sure the Quote he gives you is realistic and detailed. Get a receipt and have him sign when making payments to him. We lost track a couple of times (Our bad too). Not sure if he's insured in Colorado, but we did pull all permits for project and was signed off complete. We love our basement! I gave him a B for Quality, not necessarily for his work, but the drywallers he used were shoddy, and he wasn't able to get them back to fix some issues.
