Description of Work: Complete tear-off and replacement of roof. Workers did a great job of cleaning-up when finished and were very professional on the job site. Reimer was able to start within a few days of a quotation, finishing before some companies had submitted a quotation. The new roof looks great, including new flashing on chimney and new soffit vents.

Description of Work: We had a leak in our roof after a heavy rainstorm, and we were desperate to get it fixed. I came to Angie's List and Reimer was at the top of the list. When I called, Todd took my call and came out the very next morning to look at our roof. He was extremely informative, explaining where the leak was coming from and what he would recommend to fix vs. replacing. We did get another estimate, however, Reimer's estimate was lower by $600. The other selling point to us was that the work could be completed within 10 days. In the meantime, Todd came back to do a temporary fix on the old roof before his crew could make it over. | | The crew was 15 minutes early, and they worked efficiently. They were finished by 1pm, and we had our gutter replacement done the next morning. Everyone on the crew was polite, and it is evident that they enjoy working on this team. They also cleaned up- you would never know they were here! I have referred them to a few of my friends, and I plan on having them come back when we do some other exterior upgrades in a few years.

Description of Work: Tore off old roof and replaced with new. Fixed soem leaking gutters and replaced downspouts with larger ones. They did a great job and were fast and efficient.

Description of Work: Purchased a "Big Deal" residing package through Angie's List. First off, I do understand that unexpected issues and expenses occur with any remodeling project, however this package did not include some of the basics that one would reasonably expect on a siding job: Tyvek wrap, trim and flashing around windows and doors, etc. I also ordered new gutters, bringing the original estimate (with the Angie's List package) to about $8500. Actual cost ended up being around $10,400. |The job was to have started in late September, and was to last about two weeks. In reality, it started in mid-October, and ran through mid-November. There were many issues encountered, including carpenter ants, removing an old milk door (that left a 12' x 18" hole in my kitchen wall for a week), and having to redo framing around my living room picture window. Kelly Reimer was reasonably responsive, though it often took a while to return my calls, and his crew didn't always show up when promised... which is why this project took a month. All issues were eventually resolved though. |Overall, the quality of the work itself was quite good, especially with the picture window reframing and sheet metal work, which turned out beautifully. Cleanup was not as good, as I'm still finding old nails, paint chips, foam scraps, etc. in the yard as the snow is melting. During the course of the project, my yard was a complete mess. As for the price, even at $10,400, it was a good value due to the extent of the work done, and competitive with estimates (as high as $14K) from other contractors. I am giving Reimer a "C" rating because this was an average experience... they met my expectations, but did not exceed them, and they did an overall quality job, but not without issues and disappointments. |The original cost estimate, however, was ridiculously unrealistic, and the responsibility for that lies not only with Reimer, but Angie's List. It was their "Big Deal" package that left out a lot of work that any responsible contractor would have included. I will certainly not be purchasing any more "Big Deal's" in the future, and this experience has led me to question Angie's List itself, and whether it is all it claims to be. I will not be renewing my membership.

Description of Work: received an estimate to repair a roof leak. Estimate was 5 times higher than another quote for the same work. Very professional estimator, explained things well - not sure why the cost was so much more, for the same scope of work.

Description of Work: Reimer roofing repaired a flat roof area that was causing a leak during winter snow. They tore off 3 layers of previous attempts at roof repair using a particle type wood which was soaked like a sponge. I believe it to be the cause of damp smell upstairs. They repaired the drainage pipe opening it up wider added a synthetic material that had a small slope to allow for better drainage. Also other small repairs. We are always very thorough in our search when we need work done. This company was the only company that noticed quite a few problems that others did not which is why we choose them. Fair price. But they were busy and had to reschedule with us a couple times but when they started they finished without delays which is the most important. A few phone calls to find out delay in starting but like I wrote they were professional in every way. Would use them again.

Description of Work: Called them to repair a gutter, and they said they'd stop by and give me a quote. Waited a week and heard nothing from them. Called them again, left a msg. and still didn't get back to me.

Description of Work: Called them for an estimate on new roof. They responded promptly, made an appointment, came to look at the roof, etc. Never heard from them again - no calls, no email. I will give my business to someone who is more interested.
