Reimer Roofing & Remodeling

The initial estimate and schedule process went well. The sales person was initially very responsive to calls and concerns. There were some problems during the project. They had to correct some shingle and gutter installation problems and one of the downspouts was the wrong length. The driveway was stained by something dripping from the dumpster and was cracked when the full dumpster was removed. There was a problem where the siding ran behind the deck would lead to water damage if not corrected. This should have been brought to our attention for resolution - not left undone. Correcting the problems dragged on for some time. Overall the quality of the work was pretty good - it was the attention to detail that was lacking.

I received a thorough estimate in a timely manner. We decided to go with a roofer who was better known to the family and who was more appropriate for our budget.

Asked for an estimate on a roof leak we were having. Twice they were scheduled to come out and did not show (one day I even took off for) -- not even a phone call explaining why they could not come out. While all of their ratings are very high, I would not use them again.

Discovered leak in roof and called immediately. Was able to get an estimate that day because I knew it would be raining within the next day or two. He was able to to come and fix it the very next day. He even billed me for the service having never met me and I thought that it was great that he was able to do that sine I could not leave at the time seeing as how my wife had returned home from the hospital. I highly recommend this company.

We explained that we believed a prior contractor did not do what he agreed to do. Kelly Reimer was professional and courteous, and he confirmed our beliefs. He was punctual for his estimate and got back to us in a couple of days with the complete estimate. At this time we have not gone forward with this repair as we are still trying to see how and if this can be resolved with the previous roofer.

The price was good. It was the middle estimate on the three that I checked. The only compliant that I have is the clean up. I wished they would have cleaned up a little more throughly, and I would have also liked to have had a call from the company owners, or the gentleman that I booked the job through, to check and see how the job went and get feedback. None of this happened. So, good job overall, however, clean up was not as good as it should have been in my opinion. Scraps and nails left in grass, and such.

Kelley Reimer answered the phone the morning of 5/25/07 and agreed to replace the two missing shingles that day. His roofers showed up and did the work as agreed upon. He helped me out of a difficult situation by responding rapidly, as I was missing two large shingles and could have had significant water damage in a rain storm. I have had no previous connection with Reimer Roofing.

Very happy with installation and product. Worked with our timelines. Todd worked with us on our need to have the roof line cut back to prevent further damage to our fascia/soffits (due to poor design of ranch roof). Timely service.

Kelly was OK. The price was higher than what I expect.

During the last big rainstorm, we woke up to our living room ceiling leaking. As we are new to Milwaukee, we went to Angie's List to find someone reputable. Decided on Riemer. Phone was answered right away. Questions were answered very thoroughly. An appointment was scheduled. My husband said that they were here on time, were courteous, and seemed to resolve the problem. I guess we won't know for sure until the next rain, but so far, we have been very satisfied with Riemer.

They showed up 3 hours late to give the estimate. Otherwise were very knowledgeable and polite to deal with. We did not choose them because another contractor's price was lower.

Overall, they did a great job. My only complaint is that it took a little longer than I'd like to get the estimate after Kelly looked at the roof and took measurements. Other than that, they were very responsive to my calls and questions, getting back to me almost always the same day. After I signed the agreement, we had to wait a few weeks for the weather to cooperate. Once it warmed up, Kelly beat me to the phone and called me to schedule the start day (two days later). His crew was on time each day they were here, and at the start set up tarps in the attic to catch debris. They happened to finish while I was at work, so they left a note and we set up a time for one of them to come the next day to clean up in the attic. When Kelly came a few days later for payment and warranty paperwork. I pointed out a few Malibu lights that were broken during the process. We agreed on a fair replacement price, and he deducted that from the final bill. I'd definitely recommend them!

I was very satisfied; very, very good work. They answered their phone right away which was nice to get a person on the phone instead of an answering machine.

I have already filled out reports on this company regarding their work. They have done a great job with everything. The people and the workers who have come out are very good people. I feel that they did a great job. I have not yet had to complain. I am pleased and that is what matters. I have no leaks and they also left no mess behind either.

This was a very organic process, continuing to change along the way. Todd Dejno (heads up the remodeling half of the company) was very easy to work with and very excited about this project - worked very hard to find the proper mill work resource and truly wanted us to be satisfied with the job. The overall structure of the porch is truly wonderful - much care went into creating the look we wanted. There were some concerns with the quality of the finishing, but when these areas were pointed out to Todd, he was able to direct the crew to fix them. It was not an easy porch to build, as there are many angles of the brick house to deal with - it is a very irregular face - this certainly complicated the work, and definitely increased the price.

Reimer did a wonderful job with the copper gutters. Copper is not a material they routinely use, but was done very well. The high cost of copper at the time we had the work done was the main reason for the high price.

Reimer Roofing was wonderful. Kelly was very straightforward and easy to work with, and offered many solutions to our needs. He helped us find just the right look for our house, and was willing to accommodate our requests for specific brands of products. Work was performed quickly and efficiently, and a request for added sealant on a small area that had lifted on the rubber roof was immediately remedied and has given us no trouble. The crew was wonderful - very quick yet conscientious. Reimer was a pleasure to work with!

We discovered plaster damage in the ceiling to our home entry hall due to water damage from the breach of a previously patched roof valley. We checked Angie's List, saw that Reimer Roofing had high marks from previous users, and called them. Their estimate was fair, and the work was done promptly and competently. They lived up to our expectations and their previous reputation as a quality company.

The windows are great! Installation was very professional and looks wonderful.

Work and installation crew were outstanding. Calls to company always returned promptly. Crew always cleaned up everything before leaving for the day. Everything was as promised, when promised. A wonderful experience.

Kelly came and did a thorough review of the roof and immediately found the source of my leak. He told me what needed to be done and gave me the written estimate. On review of the estimate, I realized that it was written up without mention of the sealing of the chimney. I called them, and that was added to the current estimate and refaxed prior to me signing the agreement. The exact date of when the work would be done was never given, as they were short-staffed, and vacations were scheduled. Within a week or so, I called to see when someone would be out to do the job, only to find out that they had been there that day and completed the work. On my review of the work, there was one area that had been entirely missed. I was expecting to have to hassle with them, but I just called and told him the area that had been skipped over, and they came out that next day to fix it with no questions asked.

Kelly's crew worked fast and with little intrusion to my daily activity. They were done with the roof in a couple days, and they cleaned up better than I could have imagined. There was tons of cedar dust in the attic, but they removed it all. I haven't found a nail on the ground yet. The only problem we had is that the roofers forgot to fill the gaps between the cedar roofing boards. Kelly came by and inspected the work and found that there were a few nails that came through without hitting any wood. He offered to fill the gaps from the inside, but we agreed it probably wasn't necessary. I asked him to increase the length of the no-leak warranty, and he did from seven years to 12. I was satisfied with that.
