The installation of the new 2 car garage door went better than we could have hoped for. The installers arrived at the time expected and went right to work. The removal of the old door and the install of the new one went quickly and was done very professionally. The quality and appearance of the new door is outstanding. The installers adjusted the garage door opener to make sure it was set correctly for the new door and even went so far as to wipe down the entire door with a cleaner after the installation was done and swept the surrounding floor to make sure no debris was left behind. We could not be happier with the results.

It was a pretty straightforward job, but everything was completed to expectations and with good workmanship. I appreciated Mike's punctuality and his ability/willingness to communicate via email. The job went remarkably quick as well; just a couple hours or so! The new door works wonderful. It is SO much better than what we had... but I still have to remember to take it easy when lifting the door now since it is so much easier to lift than that wooden door we had! He also was willing to resecure the spring mechanism on our other garage door that was coming loose at no charge, so that was much appreciated as well. And his price quote came in significantly under the other two quotes I received. Couldn't be happier with how things turned out!

I will never let Adam Overhead Door near my garage again. The first time they came out, it
was to install a new garage door and opener. During that visit, they tightened
the springs (on the two-car garage) because they felt that they were too loose.
However, they apparently tightened them too much, because that evening when my
husband released the automatic door, the garage door FLUNG up quickly, denting
the new garage door mechanism (at the top of the garage door opener). So, we
asked them to come back and loosen the spring so that the damage (and safety
hazard) would not occur again. So they came back and loosened the spring up.
About two weeks later the spring on one side of the garage door
broke. Given that this spring was fine before they installed the new garage
door opener, I can?t help but to assume that this break is related to the
over-tightening (and then necessary loosening) of the spring. I called Adam
Overhead Door to replace the spring, assuming they would replace it for free.
Instead, the service person who came out was very patronizing and said that it
couldn?t have anything to do with them ? it was just a coincidence that it
broke two weeks after they installed the opener. Both the service person and
the person in the office that I spoke to kept insisting that they would have to
charge me fully to replace the spring. Finally, after much argument, I told
them I would be reporting my experience to Angie?s list, so they changed their
mind and said that they would replace it. However, even though they knew that
their installer had tightened both springs (for the 2 sides of the garage),
they took the cheap route and just replaced the one broken spring.
Sure enough, about two weeks later, the other spring broke.
At that point there was no way I was going to call back Adam Overhead for a 4th
time and have them put forth the minimum effort they could. Instead I called
another garage door company in New Berlin.

The came out within 4 hours of my call. Technician diagnosed the problem and explained what needed to be done. He quickly replaced the broken part. Very polite and businesslike.
