piano tuning
 + -1 moreI happened to have a few days off of work, and needed my piano evaluated/tuned. I called "Doctor" Becker on Thursday and we were able to set up a time for the next day. He arrived as scheduled and took plenty of time with the piano. I look forward to his second visit two weeks from now, once the string have settled, for the final tuning, but just this first pass made a huge difference. Happy to be reviving an old piano.
Description of Work: On this first visit, the service performed was raising the pitch of my old piano, which had not been worked on in years. (This is preparation for final tuning in two weeks, for an additional fee--I'll report back then). During this visit, the "Doc" gave an honest assessment and helpful tips on keeping the piano in tune. He vacuumed the insides of the piano and suggested ideas for future upkeep. He brought all his own equipment, including the vac. For $25 I got a lot of information and a better sounding piano.
