TERRIBLE QUALITY AND TIMELYNESS!!!!!!!! removal of old slab went as planned but the poor quality started immediately after that. the crew tried to frame up the slab but failed miserably, when I came home from work I decided to measure it and see how they did. all four sides of the framing were off by up to 2" in overall length, corner to corner measurements were off by 4-5" ( no exaggeration ) and as we all know if corner to corner is not perfect the slab does not have square corners. needless to say I emailed them to inform them of the POOR quality and they returned the following Monday to completely disassemble the frame and start over......completely done in one business day, impressive. remeasured once again and everything was good......(side note, I did notice that no excavation was done, old slab was removed and 3/4" road stone was put down directly on the old dirt for the foundation). vapor barrier placed inside framing, re-bar laid on top of vapor barrier but not sure if they ever lifted it up while pouring concrete?????????? concrete poured ( not a very even finish on the 'crete ) and seal coat put down later in the afternoon ( not a very even coat of sealer either ). after forms were removed I noticed that some of the rebar around the perimeter was visible through the outside of the concrete along with a few voids in the 'crete where the forms were, apparently they forgot to vibrate the concrete as they were pouring it. visible re-bar on the edge just makes you wonder what the rest of the re-bar looks like huh? still laying under the concrete, on top of the vapor barrier? DO NOT HIRE SHOWCASE CONCRETE........friendly owners and a quick estimate DO NOT equal quality!

Matched old concrete edge very well. Some edge cracking occurred due to differential in old and new slab floating over winter.  Finishing was very good. Pitch was set accurately.  Concrete thickness was more than  minimum 4 in. Reinforcing rod (1/2") on 2 ft centers. Wished I would have buried a drain pipe and eliminated the surface downspout drain.
