estimate. Tony himself came out to do the estimate. He was very
professional and honest with all of his assessments of the project.
The one negative....After accepting the proposal, I attempted to get an
estimated date when the driveway would be done. The best answer I
could get was early September. In the mean time, I wanted to add a slab
for a shed to the project. It was difficult at this point to get any
return call. Not sure if it was a communication issue or just ignoring
me after i left messages every day for a week. I did finally get a hold
of them about 8:15 PM one night. We ended up getting the slab and just a little behind
on the e estimated date.
Tony's crews are top notch. They got on site and started right away. By noon the 1st day,
the old driveway was gone and forms were set. Tony again came on site to
check the accuracy of the forms. He wasn't happy with the depth and
had the crew correct it the following morning. Tony ended up canceling
the concrete for the second day because of rain....and glad he did. It
was a very rainy day and sure it would have messed up the concrete.
Friday morning at about 6:15 am, the pour crew showed up. they prepped
everything and insured the ground wasn't too wet from the monsoon the
day before. It wasn't. The crew got along well. You could tell the
teamwork would show in their workmanship. I hung around for most of the
pour. Very impressive since they were hauling all the concrete with a
dump buggy to prevent damage to the base with the wheels of the cement
mixer. Tony again showed up on site and worked with the crew. Got to love a
hands on owner...that was just part of the team.
They excavated all the old concrete and removed it in about a day and a half.
About two days later the cement showed up - was poured and finished. They sealed the cement after a day or two and Tony did a great job of finishing the work. It has been two years and the cement still looks like new.
