HOME INSPECTIONS PLUS

Jeff was an absolute pleasure to work with!  I looked on Angie's List and referenced the BBB when looking for a new home inspector.  My realtor gave me Jeff's name and he had good reviews and no negative findings at all the above places.  I called around 3 other inspectors and he was the best deal for all of the services I was looking for.  He was prompt to answer the phone when I called to inquire and scheduling was easy.
With regards to the actual inspection, he showed up on time.  He introduced himself and welcomed me to go follow him throughout the inspection.  He reviewed all the items he found defective or deficient during the inspection with me during the process.  He answered all the questions I had and was professional and polite throughout the entire inspection.  He was extremely thorough from the roof, attics, basement, plumbing, lighting, etc.  He uses a tablet based documentation format and is extremely efficient.  He had already arranged with my real estate agent to place the radon tester prior to the inspection and was able to give me the results at the same time as the inspection.
In regards to his report, it has an extensive amount of photos along with the text descriptions.  Additionally, he had it available the same day!
I would highly recommend Jeff to anyone looking for a quality home inspector for a good price!

It went great and it was worth the money.

As a first time home buyer, I took a couple days to look through reviews and find the right inspector - my wife and I wanted someone who was professional, thorough, and friendly. The first couple inspectors we called were booked; then I came across Home Inspections Plus. I called and Jeff answered, and took the time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions (the property we had inspected was a 100+ year old home - we wanted someone who knew what to look for in older houses and had experience doing so).

A couple days after initially contacting Jeff I called him back to schedule an inspection; Jeff remembered our previous conversation and we were able to get something set up within a week. When the time came, my wife and I drove out to meet Jeff - he was waiting for us at the property and had already taken an initial look on the outside of the home. Jeff took the time during the inspection to explain important information about the home and answer any questions or concerns that came up during the process. He was also flexible, in that we could watch over Jeff's shoulder to see what he was doing or we could wander off to measure spaces and take photos - he would find us if he found anything particularly concerning. During the entire process, Jeff took photos and notes.

When Jeff finished looking throughout the home, we had another opportunity to ask questions and then he took some time to finalize his notes. The entire process took about 2.5 hours (the house was two story, approx. 1570 square feet). A couple hours after the inspection was complete, Jeff sent us the home inspection report, which was complete with pictures, good-to-know information, and was easy to understand.

Although my wife and I have no intention on buying another home for at least 5 or 10 years (or longer), we would absolutely use Jeff again for future inspections, and would highly recommend his service to anyone.
