I chose Classic Builders over others for my oversized 2-car garage because they were reasonably priced, included all the permitting/survey, and were local. They were also flexible as I went from using my own electrician to deciding to add that back in. Despite an encroaching winter, it was finished in time for me to have my snow thrower and vehicles inside before any major snowstorms. Brian was always responsive to calls, inquiries, and changes. The quality is excellent, and no hidden costs. In addition, when the city indicated it was not in compliance with one of the local ordinances, there were no issues with them coming back out and making things right. Highly recommend.

We hired Classic Builders to build our new garage after talking to the salesman Jerry at the NARI Home show earlier in the year. We were down to Classic and one other company that was at the same show. Both companies quoted us similar prices. What sealed the deal with Classic was Jerry. He came and looked at our site, answered all our questions clearly and explained everything there was. The salesman from the other company acted like it was a burden to come over, much less answer questions. Jerry even came back a second time to answer more questions. No problem. The weather delayed us a couple times. Can't control that. Once the concrete cured, it went up pretty quickly. Special shout out to Jay. He does the scheduling, and was our contact person. That man has the patience of a saint. He as well, always took the time to answer questions. I believe reviews should have SOME negativity, or it just does not seem honest. The carpenters could have done a better job of cleaning up after themselves. We've picked up at LEAST a dozen nails that were just laying around. With that being said. For the size of the job we could not be happier we went with Classic. Good people, great job!!!

They were timely.  The owner was here overseeing the project.  It went wonderfully.

We had a great experience with Classic Builders. We needed a tear-down of a single car garage and the associated concrete and concrete slab to be redone. We purchased a 2+ car garage and additional parking slab for our small lot in the City of Milwaukee. Ryan was prompt and detailed with the estimate. The final cost did not fluctuate. The tear-down guys were lightning fast - we didn't even notice they were there. They came on a Sunday morning and were done within 2 hours. The cement was poured shortly after the tear-down and completed to our specifications - my husband sometimes parks his semi in the driveway, so we expressed our concern that the thickness of the concrete be able to handle the weight of his truck. We've had no problems so far. The structure was built, with the whole project being completed in about 3 weeks. We initially decided to use Classic Builders after our neighbor had such good things to say about their experience. They lived up to their reputation. We've had numerous compliments from other neighbors and would not hesitate to recommend them.

It was an excellent experience.  They did quality work.  They didn't do anything that went above and beyond my expectations.  I think people should definitely try them out.

It went smoothly.  Everything was on time, and they cleaned up just as they said they would.

Was upfront about bad reviews of theirs I had read. They seemed to refer to the process and not the finished product so I decided to call.At that time I was just looking for prices to compare. I had considered the big builder in the area and felt I should do due diligence.Ryan Rogge came to inspect the property and give the estimate.Very pleasant fellow and seemed quite knowledgeable,despite his youthful appearance. I informed him I had independently hired someone to prepare the concrete pad. The estimate was for the structure only. The price was very appealing however I did express my reservations about the negative reviews. He assured me they were working to change their reputation. After some telephone negotiations between companies( Ryan always returned my calls promptly,the other company,not so much) I decided on Classic. They gave me a timeline and held to it. Everything was done exactly as outlined and when they said it would be done.As a matter of fact,I got more than I expected in that the gutter and downspout were placed on the wrong side and instead of removing the wrong one,I got an additional gutter on the correct side at no charge.Additionally, some staples were protruding  between the studs and Ryan came personally to clip them off and then swept the entire floor of the garage. Nice .At no time did I feel pressure or the hard sell.He was aware of my budget and did give me options,but it was all my decision in the end.I was grateful there were no scare tactics used or negative comments about other companies,which seems to be an industry standard. Overall,I would recommend Classic Builders.

The garage looks great. I thought the contractor did great work but I'm dissapointed that the company will not respond to the heaved concrete problem. 

I like their quality, their timeliness and their low cost high quality work. Basically, they do the job right the first time. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to have a garage build. They have done a good job for me. I would say don't build a new garage without getting an estimate from Classis Builders. I would use their services again in the future.

We got a good deal and a super garage for a good, fair price.

They were very accommodating and easy to work with. We would definitely recommend them to others.

We are very happy with the final job but there were problems during construction. Most problems were caused by the use of sub-contractors by Classic Builders. First the old garage was torn down by one group, then the concrete was removed and new concrete was poured by another, then Classic themselves do the carpentry. Then another contractor for the door, another for the roof, and then an electrician. Finally in our case because we needed the special cedar-shingle siding, there was a subcontractor for that. There were large gaps of time between each step and one group felt no responsibility for cleaning up the mess left by another group. Much debris was left cluttering the driveway for 2 weeks until my irate neighbor (who shares the driveway) complained directly to Classic. We signed the contract in May. Start was held up by complicated regulations in Whitefish Bay and then construction started mid August. The work took 6 weeks, much longer than the estimated time I was given.

They did an excellent job overall, and were responsive. I am very pleased with their work.

JERRY KIEFER WAS IMMEDIATELY RESPONSIVE TO INITIAL INQUIRIES AND GAVE A COMPLETE AND ACCURATE ESTIMATE OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED. THE CONTRACT WAS CLEAR AND WELL-DEFINED. WORKERS WERE ON-TASK AND SEEMINGLY WORKED WITHOUT REST/LUNCH BREAKS. THEY WERE RESPECTFUL AND VERY EFFICIENT. NEIGHBORS WERE IMPRESSED WITH THEIR WORK SKILLS AND ABILITY TO WORK WITHOUT INAPPROPRIATE OR RAUCOUS BEHAVIOR.

OVERALL, THIS IS A GOOD COMPANY, AND WE LIKE THE NEW GARAGE. THERE WERE SEVERAL MISCOMMUNICATIONS, HOWEVER, BETWEEN THE SALES END AND THE CREW THAT CAME TO BUILD THE GARAGE. WE MADE SEVERAL DESIGN CHANGES (I.E., DIFFERENT SERVICE DOOR STYLE AND SIZE, DIFFERENT TRIM COLOR, ETC.) THE WEEK BEFORE THE CREW ARRIVED AND THE CREW DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THEM. LUCKILY I WAS HERE AND WATCHING CLOSELY DURING THE CONSTRUCTION AND CAUGHT MOST OF THE PROBLEMS. A COUPLE OF THINGS THAT GOT BY ME WERE HANDLED PROFESSIONALLY BY THE COMPANY, BY REDUCING THE CONTRACT AMOUNT AND THROWING IN SOME EXTRAS, LIKE BETTER SHINGLES, AT NO COST, OR GETTING ADDITIONAL PRODUCT INFORMATION FROM THEIR SUPPLIERS. I BELIEVE THAT THE MISTAKES THAT WERE MADE WERE HONEST AND THEY RESOLVED THEM TO MY SATISFACTION. I WOULD USE THE COMPANY AGAIN. THEY WERE MUCH MORE FLEXIBLE AND WILLING TO BUILD A TRULY CUSTOM GARAGE THAN ANY OF THE OTHER COMPANIES I RECEIVED QUOTES FROM.

THE GARAGE IS FINE AND THE STRUCTURE WAS CONSTRUCTED WELL. THE PROBLEMS WE ENCOUNTERED ARE MOSTLY RELATED TO THE CONCRETE WORK THAT WAS DONE BY A SUB CONTRACTOR. IN GENERAL THE COMMUNICATION COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. CHANGES IN THE SCHEDULE WERE NOT PASSED ON IN A TIMELY MANNER. THE CONCRETE FOLKS DID NOT READ THEIR PLANS WELL AND DUG UP THE WRONG PART OF THE LAWN. THEY ALSO DID NOT DO A GOOD JOB IN REMOVING MATERIALS AND SCRAPS. WE WERE TOLD THE CONCRETE GUYS WERE FIRED AFTER THIS PROJECT. IF NOT FOR THE CONCRETE GUYS, THE OVERALL RATINGS WOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE A-B RANGE.
