Bob did a fantastic job on our gravel driveway project! He scraped the driveway to get rid of the existing potholes, graded beautifully to ensure maximum water runoff, dug a few trenches to channel water away, and compacted the traffic bond/gravel for a very smooth finish. He was extremely professional and attentive to our requests. I will definitely be hiring Bob again for continued driveway maintenance and would HIGHLY recommend him to anybody!

We called Bob to have some swale work done on the north and east side of our property. We learned their was a water leak at our neighbors house that was compounding our problem, but decided that we'd still like the swale work done to improve rain runoff during heavy storms anyways. Bob showed up a couple times to talk about what we wanted and to take some measurements. His price was the cheapest of the three bids we obtained. We asked for improved swales and installation of french drains in the swales. He was very nice and professional and again, the cheapest price. Work was done quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, I am less than happy with the results. The north side of the house looks fine, ableit they didn't keep the swale where it was and moved it even closer to my house, but I guess with the drain installation I was ok with that. However, I am very unhappy with the work done on the east side of our property - which is the backyard behind the house. I had asked for a swale improvement and what I got looks like a ditch/trench instead. We have a swing set which I understand might have impeded thei work, but again - adding a drain would have been sufficient enough and now I ahve a drain and what looks like a hug drop off in my backyard. I had my husband call them and explain my unhappiness and Bob's response was that their was nothing that could be changed based on his measurements and the location of our swing set and tree. I'm sorry, but there is ALWAYS something that can be done. I did not need THAT much improvement to the swale. I wanted it to look like it did before between the properties and not it looks nothing like the former. The view from my kitchen window now looks like a drop off right at the swing set and beyond that it looks like they took a huge chunk out of my backyard. To say the least - I don't think I would do it/use them again.
Response from Bob's Grading Inc
"At Bob’s Grading we strive to correct drainage problems. On existing homes oftentimes compromises have to be made between cost, functionality and aesthetics. Mature trees, children’s play areas or other obstacles are often located near drainage swales making drainage solutions more challenging or less desirable. Larger or deeper swales are often needed to improve water flow around a property. Operationally this project is a success and we proudly display it in our portfolio of past projects. My take away from this review is to provide more information about the aesthetic impact of changing the grade around a home. I encourage customers to ask a lot of questions at our site visit to be comfortable with the solutions and options available to correct your property drainage. Please visit our website to view our portfolio of past projects. Thank you for participating in Angie's List"

The job went very well.  The guys worked hard and quickly in the heat.  After a terrible rain storm which washed away the new grass seed, they guys came back to add soil which had settled and then spread new seed.  Overall a good experience.
