We have used Bob twice now for our home inspections prior to purchasing two rental properties. He is prompt, flexbile, easy to communicate with, reasonably priced and brings cookies! His inspection report is prepared electronically and sent to the home owners immidiately after the inspection is done which is nice. The report always includes pictures of the property and the areas that need to be addressed and is very thorough. He does a wonderful job and makes the customer feel very comfortable with him and his knowledge.

This is a follow-up review to the response provided by BK Home Inspections on my prior review.
I filed a formal complaint with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services after the incident. The state's attorney and investigator sent me a letter this week that informed me they had closed their investigation and found that Mr Beisber had:
1) Violated Wis. Stat. 440.975(2) and Wis. Admin. Code SPS 134.02(1) by failing to perform a reasonably competent and diligent inspection.
(2) Violated Wis. Admin. Code SPS 134.03 by failing to inspect, and report on, all of the required items that were present on the property at the time of the home inspection.
The company has been reprimanded and fined accordingly. This review was not personal, it was based on the fact that BK Home Inspections did a poor job and refused to rectify the situation. Additionally, the owner went so far as to attack me personally and tell me to and quot;see a doctorand quot;.

Bob was prompt and got right to work. (He even traveled a bit to get to us) My husband and I and my father-in-law followed him around as he maticulously inspected the inside and outside of the home. He answered questions and gave tips and suggestions on things that didn't necessarily need to go into the report. After his review he was able to immediately show us his report (via Ipad), and email it to us later that night. That kind of technology and response was great. We called him a bit later (that same afternoon) to ask a question, and he was extremely responsive, even amending his report to include the answer to our question.The report was clear and easy to understand. I would highly recommend him. He even brought cookies!

Contracted BK for a home inspection on a home purchase this past summer. He was on-time/early to the appointment, did a great job explaining everything along the way and sent a very good report afterward. Did a great job of breaking down what sorts of things were a major concern and what was just something we should keep an eye on. Was also great at following up with questions post-home purchase. Would definitely recommend.

Have gone through home inspections with other companies in the past and my go-to home inspector was busy this time, so I hired Mr. Beisbier who is just as reputable and credited. Compared to previous experiences with three different home inspectors he was very pleasant and laid back and went through the areas a home inspector typically does and a bit more. He even climbed like an acrobat through a small opening in a built-in wall unit to get to the second attic, where he found can lights touching cellulose insulation, that would have been otherwise missed. He is not as talkative as the other home inspector that I like to use, but I think that is because he focuses on the job at hand instead of chatting about the weather and I can appreciate that. I am pleased with the report, photos and thermal imaging. With the thermal imaging we were able to find missing insulation in the attic, window air leaks and in floor radiant heating going around the perimeter of the house that I didn't even know was there. He also talked about yearly maintenance with the house and showed how and where to do them.

Bob showed up to do an inspection on a property I was looking at buying (I ended up purchasing it). He was on time, professional and thorough, the inspection took approx 2.5 hrs to complete. During the inspection Bob explained the things that he was looking for, concerned with, and those things that he wasn't able to determine (ie. presence of mold, contaminants, remaining life of furnace / AC, etc). He found things that I had missed during my own inspection, proving to me the worth of having an inspection done. I received an email from them after the inspection with a link to the full inspection report including details and photos of issues.

They were very thorough. My daughter was very pleased. The previous owners had taken all the copper pipes out.

Bob was at the property before we even arrived. He did a thorough inspection of both the outside and the inside of the property. His attention to detail is second to none. I have a brother who is a professional handyman who helped to make some of the suggested repairs that Bob noticed. In one instance Bob noticed that the caulking around some of the PVC pipes in the roof was deteriorating and that some water may be entering the house. My brother, who generously helped me to make the repair, was impressed that Bob caught such an issue. Then my brother went on to estimate that my roof had 10 years left on it, matching what Bob had said. At one point Bob was inspecting the air intake and exhaust for the furnace and mentioned that we wanted to make sure that snow did not build up so as to block either. He went on to say that most winter storms come from the south and so it was unlikely that a lot of snow would build there (it was north facing) which really impressed me. I guess I just didn't expect my home inspector to understand winter weather patterns and their potential effect on homes. In any case we are thrilled with Bob and would definitely use him again. Just the fact that I took the time to write this review (which is something I don't normally do) says it all.

Bob was already at the property when I arrived a few minutes before the agreed time. He did a thorough inspection of the property with good, useful feedback. He completed the report on sight and explained all findings throughout and again at the end of the process. He actually charge less than his phone quote.

Great experience. I will use Bob whenever I am looking at purchasing a house in the future. Bob is a little more expensive than other home inspectors, but in this case, I will tell anyone paying a little extra in this area is worth it. You get what you pay for and Bob's thoroughness is worth every cent for peice of mind when buying a property.

Bob performed a home inspection on a duplex that I am purchasing. He was on time, friendly, knowlegable, and very easy to work with. We went through the entire building, inside and out. Bob pointed out things that I should take care of when I get a chance and others that I should take care of immediatly. He took pictures and prepared a very professional report before leaving the premesis! There are inspectors who charge a little less, but you get premium service and quality with BK Home Inspections.
