J&J Stump Removal

Jacob promptly returned my call; two days later the stump was gone.  The stump itself was 4' in diameter,  an old giant of a silver maple that had been cut down several years ago. That service (not  J&J) only cut down the  stump to 5"below grade.  After a solid 2 hours work it was gone.  Jacob was very professional and courteous even though he had already put in a full day at his other job.  I would hire J&J back in an instant!

Jerry gave me an estimate about a week before actually doing the work. He was good about letting me know when he would be here. We are almost 25 miles east of town so he had a bit of a drive to get here, twice. The maple stump was over 3 ft diameter but the hole was over 10 ft diameter when he got done because of the subsurface roots. He did a good job getting the roots down below ground surface so I didn't end up with a big mound around where the stump was. I was able to work with Jerry removing the debris as it was produced to keep the resulting mess from being worse than it needed to be. He hit a few more rocks than I think he expected but didn't try to charge more to cover damage to his machine. The estimate was more than I originally expected but after seeing how much work was involved, I think it was well worth the money. His cheerful attitude was a plus.

and with them. If I am over loaded with work or stumps I know I cant do cheap I just let Jerry or Jake come in and take care of it. Most of the time the stumps are done with in 24 hour notice.

This is the first contractor that we called that RETURNED our call promptly!. They gave us a convenient time and actually showed up ON TIME! They looked over the job and gave us a reasonable quote. Then they did the job on the spot! Their work is excellent! The end result was well beyond our expectations! They are superb! I feel like cutting down more trees just to have them back to clear the stumps (just kidding).
In our area getting a contractor to return a call requires an act of God. We have been trying to get a fence built since June. We've received estimates but the contractors refuse to commit to a date to start or finish the work -- no matter how far into the future the start or end date is. Likewise we have been attempting to get a drywaller/wall finisher to finish 3 rooms in our home. We removed the wallpaper and cannot find a contractor who will give an estimate or a time frame of when they could do the job.
Therefore, in our experience with contractors Jand J Stump Removal is a real find!
