Weatherization Services
About us
Weatherization Services is experienced in using blown cellulose and spray foam insulation. We strive for perfection and enjoy generating energy savings for all of our customers. Our crews are clean and courteous and understand that “The customer is always right”. Additional phones: (414) 841-3412. Additional fax: (414) 877-1723. We use blown cellulose insulation composed of a minimum 85% recycled fibers. Unlike traditional insulation, it is not manufactured with any formaldehyde, asbestos, mineral fiber, or fiberglass. The density of blown cellulose insulation gives it a high R-value per inch, which it maintains even under extreme conditions. Cellulose insulation achieves great overall energy efficiency, because it is blown into tiny cavities. It surrounds plumbing pipes and electrical wiring, therefore reducing any air infiltration by sealing gaps where energy can escape.

"Thank you [Member Name Removed] for your feedback. I apologize that someone from our office didn't contact you to schedule and I will personally take a look into that and make sure no one in the future experiences that issue. I will also make sure that you receive your report today. We typically see it taking about a week to get reports out . Thanks again for your feedback and business."
"Hello [Member Name Removed]. I'm confused on us rejecting the work? I'm sorry if you didn't feel like there were enough pictures in your report though. I did look into the matter and in the email mentioned your husband asked if the auditor had a video. We do not do any kind of video taping during the assesment. It looks like there are roughly 40 pictures that we could send to you in a PDF if you'd like. Our office will contact you directly. Thank you for your business."

I had to call both Fred at Weatherization Services and Shawn at Hybrid multiple times, and Shawn missed scheduled appointments. When he finally came, he said his electrician was going to charge him to install a new GFI outlet, and that those outlets are cheap and break easily, so he was just going to install a regular outlet, which he did.
Last week, just a few weeks after the outlet repair, the water heater broke again. I called Fred, he called Shawn. I think I had to call twice. Shawn scheduled to come today, Monday, 5/4 at 9 a.m. I made it clear that he needed to come first thing, and that I wouldn't be home after 10a.m. At 9:15, I called Shawn. He claimed he was on his way, tied up in traffic. At 9:45 I called Fred, but got no answer, and left a message. Then I called Shawn and told him don't bother to come. He said he could come later. I told him between 4-5pm. He neither showed up nor called. Fred also didn't return my call.
Clearly there's something wrong with the outlet they installed. I think a licensed electrician should fix it, and I think that fix should last for more than a few weeks or even a few years.
Also, the water heater (AO Smith) is a total failure in other regards. Despite rarely using hot water, my heating bill went up. I definitely attribute it to the water heater. The water heater is loud. It goes on all the time. The settings don't go low enough to be at a usable temperature. It's either so hot, you have to add cold water, or so cool you can't shower unless it's a hot summer day and you're looking to cool off. So I have it set hotter than necessary.
So I'm stuck with a water heater that was installed to save energy and money, but it's doing the exact opposite. I'm stuck with a water heater that either scalds my hands when I turn on the hot water, or that leaves me shivering in the shower.
