We often use him. We have been happy with him. We usually end up having this guy out like every other year for something. If we got a problem, he comes and he fixes it. We are satisfied with his price. He shows up when he is supposed to and he fixes the problem and cleans up adequately.

Work was performmed in the timeframe that was quoted, and for the amount that was quoted.
We were always re-connected to both hot and cold water at the end of each work day, so that the house could function as normal.
Plastic was placed under the work area to protect the floor and items from water, rust, and solder. Work area was cleaned at the end of each day.
I would highly recommend.

Wegner resisted multiple attempts to get quotes for his work. Although he performed two sets of repairs, I can only comment with confidence on what looked to be a relatively simple repair on a shower handle.
After asking him several times, Wegner quoted me a price of $75 to fix the broken shower handle. Then he fixed the handle and charged me $150 for what was five minutes worth of work -- I actually watched him perform the repair. When I attempted to negotiate to his original quote, he threatened to slap a contractor's lien on my property. His reluctance to provide a quote before performing work, then going over that quote and aggressively resisting any attempts to hold him to his word, suggest he's not interested in providing a reliable, cost-efficient service to customers.
In discussing why he felt it was reasonable to charge more than double his original quote, he said it took him longer than he expected to find the replacement part, which in hindsight I find very curious because a later visit to a neighborhood hardware store revealed the part common and in stock. He also noted that he was charging for the service of fixing the home's plumbing quickly. His reasoning and attitude certainly leads me to question the value of the repair performed on the leaking pipe under the front porch, but because I didn't witness the fix, I can't say whether the work done was of high value or properly priced. I also can't comment on how long it took him to fix the pipe under the porch because I had to go to work.
Despite requests, Wegner provided no quote on the pipe work under the porch, nor did he provide an itemized invoice detailing costs. He simply sent a generic invoice to my property management company listing and quot;repair three leaksand quot; for the porch work for $175 and and quot;repair faucetand quot; for $150. It's curious Wegner cites his level of service as a core reason for why he charged what he charged, yet communicating with the customer is a key component of good service, and in this regard Wegner fails completely. It's important for a service provider to answer the client's questions quickly, confidently and honor their word. My experience with Wegner is the antithesis of this. If you find yourself in a situation in which you absolutely must use Village Plumbing for work:
Do: Get written quotes for all work ahead of time. Do not take him at his verbal word
Do: Get an itemized invoice detailing all costs afterward
Don't: Leave him unsupervised

He did not sound very professional on the phone, but he said he could do the job for as little as $150. He connected the main supply line and turned on the water. There were holes in the pipes from water damage so he turned the water back off right away. When I asked him how much each of the pipe sections were to replace he said they would be $150 each. You can do it youself for $10 each in about 15 minutes. When I said that was too much for a simple job, he replied, "there is so such think as an easy fix in plumbing." I feel like I was robbed. He spent about 35 minutes in my house and most of it was talking. He hooked up one pipe. He charges by the minute and he walks with a limp so he does not move so fast. He said if I booked him for the whole day he could get the price lower. I am a property manager new to the area and he will not be on my team in the future

Rich was very responsive and even juggled his schedule around to accommodate our job and the situation. He was great.

I called Rich because of a leaky hot water heater, he was able to come within a day (he is usually able to fit me in that day or the next day -- I've seldom had any kind of a wait with him). Although I did initially price him against others, I stopped a while ago. His prices were always right in line with others and never the highest. He has given me solid advice, and doesn't try to oversell which I really appreciate.

He was prompt and did the work to our satisfaction. I was happy that he was able to come out right away and do the work. We would hire them again for future service.

Experience was generally good. Plumber quoted the job as a flat rate. He worked quickly and with no problems. He cleaned up any mess. Job was expensive, but most was due to materials since we needed a lot of the flexible gas line. He was able to do the job very quickly, once I decided to hire him.

HE DID UNCLOG THE DRAIN PIPE, BUT SEEMED A BIT UNPROFESSIONAL BY TAKING A CALL AS HE I WAS TALKING TO HIM. HE SAID HE WOULD CALL WITH A PRICE ON INSTALLING THE DISHWASHER, BUT DIDN'T. I CALLED HIM AND HE SAID HE WOULD CALL ME LATER THAT DAY WITH A MORE SPECIFIC QUOTE. HE DID NOT CALL FOR 3 DAYS AND IN THAT TIME I CALLED ANOTHER COMPANY WHO DID THE WORK PROFESSIONALLY AND ON TIME. WOULD NOT CALL HIM AGAIN EVEN THOUGH HE IS A LOCAL COMPANY.
