It went very well.
Our staircase was very old and covered by carpet. After pulling out the carpet we noticed there wasn't a skirt. There was gaps and a lot of damage to the wall.
Chris explained how many old home have staircases like this and that all the steps were different sizes. He had to customer cut the skirt and didn't have to add any additional molding to hide gaps.
He as able to finish the job in a few hours.

We interviewed many, many contractors but Chris was the only one to provide a portfolio of work, walk us through his thoughts, provide detailed references and be completely flexible to what we wanted. He was very open to us doing work as a way to reduce costs. When there was an issue with one of the city inspectors, he came by on a Saturday to make sure that we were still on schedule and that we as homeowners were not only happy, but comfortable with how the project was proceeding. He suggested many ideas and changes we had not thought of; replacing the gas hot water heater with a highly energy efficient electric so that we could remove the chimney, thus gaining valuable floor space - that was a big help. He and the siding contractor also found a better vinyl siding that more closely matched our house and style than the one we originally selected. He managed all subcontractors, and even introduced us to them to make sure we were comfortable. When there was an issue (which there weren't many), he immediately addressed it and took care of it. He was communicative and flexible throughout the whole process - he and his crew are incredibly hard, dedicated workers. When we needed to add more work to the scope he was very open to that and more than willing to do so. Overall, he surpassed all our expectations and we could not be happier that we chose him to do this project. I will absolutely use him again for any/all renovation needs and will recommend him to everyone we know.

Job took a little longer than we would have liked, but overall we were happy with the job done. We will be having more work done by Unlimited in the future.

They did very sloppy work. They left holes in the wall around the woodwork. The wall is not square. He was very bad about following up. He was supposed to do a wood floor in my den, and would not return my calls after a month. He knew where I worked, and came in to my work to tell me his cell phone wasn't working. I had to hire someone else to finish my floor, even though we still had to pay Unlimited for an uncompleted job. His associate who was at our house was asking how much the other company was charging to do the work, and the contractor told them. It is a very bad business. Also, they were drinking beers in their truck on my driveway.

Received quote within a couple of days of taking measurements. Windows were installed within a month of the factory order. 18 windows were installed in a little over a day. Had issue with one of the windows and Chris came and corrected the problem promptly. We feel we got a very good value for the quality of windows and the work performed.
