Recently we had a wooden fence replaced by Timberland Fence. The contract was signed Sept 2022, but the work didn't begin until late July 2023. The communication & turnaround time is AWFUL. Trisha is the "project manager" and is filled with a million excuses & false promises. The demo was fine. The problems started when the install began. Timberland had one installer & one "helper." Both worked when they wanted to. The install was finally "completed" around August 20th, but there were MANY issues along the way such as: * Several areas had to be redone, including the back gate & post, and two panels. This included having to reset a new, larger post in new concrete. * Several pieces of rotted wood were used, including boards & a post that both face the city sidewalk. Trisha refused to replace anything. Instead she suggested we use "wood putty" to make it more visually appealing. * Splits & rips in the wood. These are not because of the wood's natural characteristics. They are the result of the fence installers "lazy work ethic," as quoted by a Timberland employee. Also, according to the fence installer, we shouldn't expect some spots to last "longer than 3-4 years." Trisha refused to replace, and again recommended "wood putty." * Unprofessional customer service. Trisha shouted & put her finger in my face when I expressed my dissatisfaction for the sub par craftsmanship & installation errors. *Rude management! Tony the "president" and husband to Trisha used profanity when we called to, once again, discuss problems. Among other things, Tony shouted the F word (about me) in the background during a phone conversation with Trisha. Trisha's favorite line is "It's fine; It's fine." She is rude & unprofessional & refuses to correct obvious craftsmanship errors. During the job, an employee admitted that Timberland rushes through jobs & cuts corners. They also stated they've had to "return to every single job" because of problems similiar to mine. I do not expect the fence to last. I am giving one star because it looks good from afar, but come close & you'll see the shotty craftsmanship. I'm keeping the Timberland sign up so people know exactly who installed it and GO ELSEWHERE! I would NOT recommend this company. Even if it's free, keep looking. They couldn't care less about the customer or craftsmanship. I would NEVER even consider using Timberland Fence again. Ever.

Working with Tony and his wife was easy and made the process go great. My wife and I recently got a puppy, and wanted a fence to allow the puppy to run freely in our yard. Tony came in, gave us a quote, and talked with us for 20 minutes on exactly what we were looking for. His team was punctual and did great work, and they even follow up after you pay to make sure that your fence is exactly what you were looking for (not many places do this anymore). Highly recommend.

The installation was professional and punctual, despite rainy weather that was no fault of their own. They worked with us to install a design of our choosing with two gates, one pedestrian and one double-door size to allow for larger equipment into the backyard. Brookfield has a rather archaic fence ordinance that requires a fence no taller than 4 feet and that is 50% "see-through," and the folks at Timberland were well aware of the rules. The workers came one day, dug the holes, and put in the posts with cement. Several days later the returned and completed the installation in less than a day. I had approximately 150 lineal feet of fencing.
The only thing that gives me pause for an "A" review was that Timberland Fence left piles of dirt everywhere in my yard next to each post that they dug. I was surprised after the installation was complete that the piles remained. When the owner called to inquire about my satisfaction, I mentioned all the dirt piles, and she stated "it's on the contract - we don't remove the dirt." I told her that I was surprised by this, and she said "we're not a landscape company; we don't have a way to remove it."
While the owner is correct that this is stated on the contract, that doesn't make it good policy. To me, when a company's prime function is to install fences, to leave piles of dirt everywhere from their work that they will not then remove is more than a bit disappointing. One would imagine that a fence installer would clean up after themselves, and leave the site as they found it save the new fence. What if I were disabled? Or otherwise unable to remove the dirt myself? I think that Timberland Fence should seriously consider removing any mess that they make on a client's property. They would have received an "A" from me except for this glaring omission.

Tony came to our house to give me an estimate and discuss options for a new fence. Every step was discussed and Tony was able to give helpful advice on the style of fence. Once we decided to move forward, appointments were made for removal of the old fence, placing the new posts and installing the fence. At each step, the workers were on time and I was notified of any changes in the schedule (due to weather). Once the fence was completed, Tony stopped by to ensure everything done right, and I also received a follow up call. One bad picket was replaced with no hassles, and Tony has been available to discuss questions or concerns throughout the process. I have already recommended this company to several neighbors and will use them to complete the rest of the fence in the future.

The construction was good. We had a few issues with the owner. The construction work was just fine. We had disagreed on a few things. There was some issues with the layout that deviated from what we had talked about and when we brought it up and called it out, he got a little nasty for a little while. Then we got over it and figured out and finished the job the way we wanted. We split the cost with our neighbor since it was a communal fence.

This is the second fence we've had Timberland install.  When we bought a new home, we knew we'd use them again.
Tony's team is top notch.  He's very responsive to questions and always willing to meet.  His wife coordinates the day-to-day and kept us informed of when the project would be completed.
The fence turned out beautiful and we'd recommend Timberland to anyone.

THEY ALSO OFFER FENCE INSTALLATION, BUT I DON'T HAVE ANY INPUT ABOUT THIS - WE JUST BOUGHT RETAIL SECTIONS. THEIR WOOD, THOUGH, SEEMS TO BE OF A HIGHER QUALITY THAN A LOT OF OTHER PLACES, AND THEY HAVE A TON OF LUMBER IN STOCK.
