"(Member name removed), Just a short note of thanks for taking the time to write your review of our service. Glad to know you are satisfied with the work we completed, grateful for the opportunity to be of service, and look forward to servicing any future painting needs you may have. Again, thank you very much. Best Regards, Glen"
It went well. When we came home and saw the difference of the removal of the living room popcorn ceiling and compared it to the removal of the popcorn ceiling in the hallway, we were not pleased. Thought possibly his arms got tired but he went over it again and did a great job.
Also in the kitchen just one part of the wall was to be painted the accent brown color and instead the entire wall on that side of the kitchen was brown. Opps---this was also corrected.
Glen was easy to work with and had a great summary of the work requested. He and his staff cleaned up well as the job was afew days long.
Certainly would recommend Glen and his service and would use again.
We have used them in the past and have always been pleased with the results.
We will be calling them again for our painting needs.

"I'd like to respond to this report line-by-line. "Wasn't a good experience at all." When I first met and spoke to The Member about this situation she said she was happy with and complimented everything else that was done except what was happening on the north side of the garage and wanted to know what I thought was the cause. "It started peeling completely." It was not peeling completely. It was having the same problem it did before we started our work. Only in certain areas was it peeling down to the bare wood. In fact, the areas we had scraped/sanded/primed/painted were not peeling. What was happening was the areas that were peeling were tight to the surface when we did our work, but were now popping and peeling completely from the surface down to bare wood. For a clearer picture of what was happening I refer those interested to the Sherwin Williams website. In the search box type in paint failure, on the next screen click on the Problem Solver line, on the next screen click on the Peeling Due To Moisture Inside and Outside lines. There you will see pictures of what was occurring here and descriptions of the causes which are the same things I tried explaining to The Member. "Had used a special technique." This is not true! We used the same scrape/sand/prime/paint techniques on all four sides. Why has everything else held up except the north side? What I tried to explain to The Member was the differences between the four sides. The east, south and west sides which were in much worse shape are exposed to the elements of the sun and wind far more than the north side. On these sides we were able to remove much more of the existing paint. On the north side there were many layers of paint which I would say 95% was tight to the surface. The north side never sees the sun, has a large overhanging tree right next to it, has a gutter that leaks, is often clogged with leaves and susceptible to possible ice damning, has siding with too many layers of paint on it, and a roof section in poor shape. In short, it suffers from environmental and structural problems. With the sun and wind exposure the other sides are able to dry out when they get wet while the north side is a moisture trap were when the wood gets wet it either never dries out thoroughly, or takes way too long, which causes the paint to pop/peel from the surface. "Handled problems differently." This does not matter to me, because, unless people know both sides of a situation they should refrain from making judgments. "They did not stand by their own work." In conclusion, we definitely stand by our work when it is our workmanship that is at fault. The reason we did not follow through here is, because, it is the principle of the matter. The failure here is not a matter of workmanship, but of structural and environmental concerns. What I tried to explain to The Member is that until the real causes behind this problem are addressed it will continue to happen and just because we painted it this does not make us responsible to come back year after year to repaint the new areas that will have popped and peeled. Finally, we believe this report does not in any way reflect on how are business operates or performs. For a truer sense of our business please check out the reports we have under the Painting-Interior category on Angie's List."
"Just a short note of thanks to The Member for the opportunity to be of service. It was a totally enjoyable job. Glad you were happy with the workmanship and service. Thank you for the time you took in filing your report. Best wishes."
