I stopped in on a Saturday morning without an appointment. The tire pressure indicator on my dashboard had been on for several days and I had to drive some distance that day. I thought I better have it checked before I left. The guys at Silver Spring Automotive were very helpful. They got my car up on the lift right away and checked out all the tires. They found a nail in one, removed it and plugged the tire to repair it. They also noted that I was due for an oil change and took care of that as well. It all took about 30 - 40 minutes. I was very grateful that I could travel knowing that the car was in good condition.

I traveled up from Illinois and my car front end was making a terrible sound. I knew enough to have it checked by a mechanic. I called this morning, took the car in around lunch time and it was fixed before the end of the day. It turns out, my lug nuts on the driver's side front tire were loose. I am relieved and grateful that they provided such quick turnaround.

I have had about every dashboard light possible go on for the last several months. I took it to the dealership and after having it for a day they told me they couldn't figure it out. They didn't charge me, but still they were on. I also had a squealing belt. Also a few other things that needed maintenance. And the big one was my tailgate stopped being able to open. A big problem when you drive an SUV; it was a pain not to be able to use it. Almost two years ago. Took it to the dealership and they wanted over $600 to fix it. Yikes. Enter Silver Spring Automotive. I have used them before, and thought I would do it again. They found the source of the dashboard lights, called me to get authorization (turned out to be some gas cap leak and 'canister assembly'). They gave me a few other things that needed attention (I knew this!) and I authorized some and elected to wait on others. They FIXED my tailgate handle and latch. They called me every step of the way. The work was done quickly and professionally and for less than the tailgate repair alone would have been at the dealership. The reason the price was high was because the canister assembly for the exhaust system was more than $400.I recommend Silver Spring Automotive to anyone in the North Shore area.

I've gone to my Toyota dealership for years but the last couple of times they were unable to fix an issue AND the price they quoted for routine maintenance was out of this world, which is why much of my routine maintenance got delayed. They even quoted me a price for my rear brakes in the 600's!!! They also wanted nearly $700 for fixing my tailgate latch. So, when my brakes got to the point where they needed repair NOW I wanted to go somewhere that would FIX them, wouldn't rip me off, and wouldn't 'suggest' all sorts of other things. I am a single parent with one income and I don't have an unlimited supply of funds. I had been by Silver Spring Automotive over and over but never stopped there. Looked them up on Angie's list and had favorable reports...so gave them a call. They fixed what I needed fixed in a timely manner, did not suggest other stuff, actually called me when the car was ready, were not arrogant, and charged me a fair price considerably less than the dealership. I will definitely go back there.

They charged me about $900 for their service. They were good guys and I liked them. This was the first time I've used them.

They are great! They did a good job, and we liked them.

Overall the service was performed well. The mechanic initially had a problem getting the axle off of the existing wheel and told me he might have to break part of the wheel to get it apart. I don't know if it is common for mechanics to have this problem, but it seemed a little strange. Fortunately he was able to make the repair without damaging anything and the axle seems to work great. The repair shop itself is not kept up very well, but to me the most important thing is to have the work done well, which it was.

I have used Silver Spring Automotive for years for reparis on my cars. That's why I go back even for my oil changes. They are honest and will not suggest unnecessary work. They are timely in their repairs and have done a quality job on my cars over the years. I highly recommend them. A lot of my neighbors use them too!

They are friendly and honest. I have not had any problems with their timing. I also think that they are reasonable in their pricing. I use them a lot and would recommend them to anyone looking for an auto service.

THEY MADE OBSERVATIONS THAT WERE MISSED BY ANOTHER SERVICE COMPANY. VERY HONEST. SENT A FOLLOW-UP THANK YOU LETTER WITH A COUPON. VERY NICE TOUCH. NOTE - THE REASON I RATED A ''B'' FOR PRICING WAS I HAVE A BMW AND PARTS IN GENERAL ARE EXPENSIVE - NOT THEIR FAULT. OVERALL GREAT SERVICE

WERE CHARGED OVER $70 ONLY TO BE TOLD THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS.

HAD ENGINE AND OIL LIGHTS FLASHING ON DASH AND THEY SCHEDULED ME IN RIGHT AWAY AND EVEN FINISHED EARLY WHEN MY RIDE WAS AVAILABLE TO DROP ME OFF.

THEY DIDNT CHARGE ME WHEN THEY PUT THE LICENSE PLATE ON. THEY WERE VERY PLEASANT AND SENT ME A LETTER THANKING ME.

THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS CONSISTENTLY GREAT.
