Within a few hours of our call a project manager and pump truck were on site at our house and very reassuring that everything would be taken care of and back to normal. It should have been a red flag that part of the PM's reassurance was that we were going to "get all new stuff" from the insurance company.  Despite our caution and reminders that we only had $10K of insurance coverage on our basement, the PM took a very aggressive approach to remediating the problem, tearing out all the drywall, all the trim, all the carpet and bringing over 17 fans and 3 industrial sized dehumidifiers for our 800 sf basement.  After the first four days of tear out and dry out, our bill was already at $8K, almost half of which was just for fan rental.
After pushing back a bit, we agreed to let Grinker finish the job and do the remediation work as well, but we had to stay on top of it pretty closely - they had the wrong paint colors, never ordered the carpet which was then out of stock, left outlets on covered and wires hanging out of walls, failed to put trim on several of the doors. There would be weeks that would go by with no progress, so we also had to almost badger them just to finish the work. It was fairly clear that we fell to the bottom of the priority list after we pushed back on cost to make sure the whole project came in under $10K to fit our insurance coverage.  At the end of the project, Grinker got it all, and I got $11.50 leftover of the insurance money for actual replacement of all my rugs, furniture, kids toys, electronics, etc. that were lost in the flood.

They've been very responsible. There was a fire in the unit above mine and I got water damage from it. They have their painters come in, they had an electrician come; it's really a full service kind of thing. I really appreciate it. I'm still in the process that was not complete yet but I've been very happy with them so far.
