He was professional and efficient. He said it would take two days and it took two days. He followed all of my instructions and the price was exactly what he quoted. His quote was better than market. To top it all off, he left the place cleaner than he found it.
We felt we had exceptional communication and service from them and have already contacted them about our boiler for repairs as well.
After comparing all of the estimates I could clearly see that the Trane unit that Uttke & Son's was recommending was the best system for the money being spent. I also have had bad experiences in the past by using the cheapest contractor in order to save a buck. In the long run I was disappointed. So this time I ignored the cost and chose the company that I felt would do the best job. I chose Uttke & Son's.
They came on the day we agreed on at the time we agreed to and stayed until the job was finished. Tom stopped by to check on the workers installing the unit to ensure the work was being done properly and that I was satisfied with the work that was being done. I am totally satisfied with the work and Uttke & Son's
Company responded quickly to my request for an estimate. Tom Uttke showed up on time and explained my options. Their estimate was very competitive and they were willing to work with my work schedule when setting up the installation date. Installers showed up on time, worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves. The electrician had to do a little creative installation of the electrical outlet box since the A/C unit lines had to be run from under/through a porch. Once finished the installers gave me pointers on how to best use the central air and Aprilaire units.
"HIS 50 YEAR OLD BOILER NEEDED AN IGNITION CONTROL. BECAUSE PARTS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE, WE USED A UNIVERSAL CONTROL. UNFORTUNATELY FOR HIM, CONTROL DID NOT WORK. WE RETURNED THE NEXT DAY TO REPLACE IT WITH A DIFFERENT CONTROL, WHICH HAS WORKED SINCE. AFTER THE SECOND REPAIR WAS MADE AND THE BOILER WAS WORKING, HE CALLED THE OFFICE WITH HIS COMPLAINT. HE INDICATED HE HAD FOUND THE PART ON THE INTERNET FOR MUCH CHEAPER THAN WHAT WE HAD CHARGED HIM, (KEEP IN MIND THE COST OF THE INTERNET PART DID NOT INCLUDE THE LABOR OR WARRANTY). WE OFFERED TO TAKE THE PART OFF AND REFUND HIM THE PART COST AND WOULD THEN RETURN TO INSTALL THE PART THE CUSTOMER ORDERED, HE THEN RESPONDED, "DON’T BE RIDICULOUS, IT’S COLD OUT." OCCASIONALLY WE ARE FACED WITH A DIFFICULT REPAIR. BOTH TECHNICIAN’S DISPATCHED TO HIS HOME ARE NATE CERTIFIED (NORTH AMERICAN TECHNICIAN EXCELLENCE) THEY ARE EXCELLENT REPAIRMEN AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. WHEN WE ENDED OUR TELEPHONE CONVERSATION, WE DETERMINED THAT THERE WOULD NOT BE AN ADDITIONAL COST TO HIM FOR THE RETURN VISIT. I WAS CONVINCED AFTER HE INDICATED TO ME THAT HE WAS 100% SATISFIED, THAT THIS ISSUE WAS HANDLED PROPERLY. WE FELT COMFORTABLE THAT THIS ISSUE WAS HANDLED PROPERLY AND THAT WE WERE ADDING HIM TO OUR LONG LIST OF MANY SATISFIED CUSTOMERS. TOM UTTKE"
