Prompt and knew his stuff. Had a lot of ideas for different ways to do the job, addressing code and practicality concerns. He could not give me a bid at the time of his visit because there were too many variables that I had to figure out. For reasons wholly unrelated, I did not have him do this job, but I would definitely call him for future work.

They get all "A's" and I would use them again in the future.

During a recent basement inspection and drain tile test it was discovered that the Palmer valve in my drain tiles had rusted shut. This valve is what allows basement drain tiles to drain into the city sewer, and this valve had probably rusted shut for 50 years. I called Bob on the recommendation of a plumbing supply store. I had stopped to find out how to loosen or remove the valve myself, but they had no products or knowledge of how to do so. Bob had been in to the store recently to show them a Palmer valve and they gave me his card.

Bob came out the next day but was hesistant to make any recommendations until he could see it. Because of the position of the valve in the floor drains, it was difficult to see the extent of the rust and corrosion. Bob worked at it for a while and eventually was able to knock the metal valve completely loose, removing it from the hinge. It turned out to be less of a plumbing job than just having the right tools to knock it loose, but I'm thrilled that he was able to fix the problem.
