We have a very old wireless router that has been running without any security for years. Because the router initially had the same default address as our DSL modem, the manufacturer had assisted us (years ago) in changing the router's ip. Not able to remember the new one, we were unable to access the router. Ben was able to locate the active ip and access the old router to password protect it. We are no longer supplying the neighborhood with free wireless access.
He also spent some time explaining clearly just how the connections between all our "stuff" really worked. After his visit we were smarter as well as password protected.
