We are very pleased with the work that Tony and his crew (Mark and Luke) did at the farmhouse. The floors were not in great shape when we showed them to him due to years of water damage, some pet stains and the general wear in a hundred year old home. Tony came out and gave us a quote for the job and explained what we could do to minimize some of the work he would have to do and thus reduce the overall cost. That was much appreciated. Based upon his recommendations and guidance, we were able to tear out other similar wood flooring from different rooms in the house. He then was able to use this wood for patching purposes so that the floor retained its original charm and character. The flooring in one of the rooms (the breakfast nook) was so bad after we tried to reclaim it (just due to the type of wood and the fact that the previous owners had glued carpeting on it) we had to remove it. Tony recommended putting in new maple hardwood flooring in this area with a Brazilian cherry border that looks fantastic. His crew and he did an awesome job on saving the dining and parlor floor which turned out to be a pattern of one strip of maple and then one strip of cherry. The careful sanding and buffing that they did on this floor, along with the staining and sealing really was amazing and we can t say enough about how wonderful the floor now looks So many people have already commented on the beautiful job. We have already contacted them to do some other rooms in the rest of the house and would HIGHLY recommend them for any hardwood floor restoration or installation project. Tony is knowledgeable, fair and honest you couldn t ask for better characteristics in a contractor!
