I spent $3000 with them. They were excellent. I used them more than once. They were punctual and their quality of work was good. Their price was fair.

He was honest, responsive and came out quickly. It was all covered under my insurance and he worked with me. He just charged me for the time that he was in my house. I was satisfied with his service.

They usually come once a year. They have always been really fair and I don’t feel like I am being cheated. They are upfront with what time it would take to complete the job and what it would cost.

The workers that came out were very courteous and punctual. Another great thing that I liked is that were very personable and easy to talk to.

My indoor electrical service box was leaking along with an adjacent plug socket. The workman came in and we explored the problem. He then went outside and fixed a leaking conduit pipe that feeds the electric into the basement box.

Initially, they came out to diagnose the problem, and were very helpful. However, the work was scheduled for a Monday morning at 8 a.m. I called that morning at 7:30 a.m. to confirm, and was told they would be there at 8. When they hadn't arrived by 9:30 a.m., I called to find out what was happening. I had to leave a message, and then call back myself an hour later. Then they finally told me that they had bought out another company, Spring City Electric, and that company was supposed to be coming to do the work. The two guys showed up at 11:30. They were very apologetic and courteous, but had not made plans to work late that day, and therefore could not finish. One electrician returned on the following Saturday to finish the job. It took longer than expected, which the electrician said was due to an unusually thick foundation. The work looked fine when he was finished. However, that night we had torrential rains, and I found out that he had not sealed around the electrical conduit coming into the house, or around the hole he had drilled in my foundation to run the wire through. Water leaked into my basement. I called the following Monday to have them come out and fix the problem. The same electrician came back that afternoon, and the problem appears to be fixed. The City required an inspection because of the new wiring in the trench. When the city inspector came, he found two minor issues that needed correction, but said that the work otherwise looked good. The same electrician came back within two days of my call to schedule the correction. I called shortly after that to express my dissatisfaction at having to have someone come out FOUR times to get the job done, and at having water in my basement because of the electrician's failure to seal it. Rather than calling me back to discuss it or even apologize, I simply received a new copy of my invoice in the mail. On the bright side, the work is (finally) well-done, and looks very nice. It all works, which is the important thing. I am glad to have electric service in my garage again.

They went into the attic and ripped up boards that were not replaced, they left holes in the plastering around switch plates, holes in my ceiling from a foot that slipped through, and a light in our entryway that still does not work. And then one light socket that stop working, this again was one of the things they fixed; the socket actually rotates with the bulb when you go to replace it. They left with out completing the job and leaving some items disrepair.

A recent storm and resulting tree damage had pulled the utilities off our home, damaging our electrical service in the process. Early the following morning I contacted Pieper and was able to shedule an appointment. 90 minutes later, a service technician was at our home. He assessed our situation, spoke with our village electrical inspector for clarification of a detail, and provided us an estimate. We agreed to have the work performed, and the technician completed the job in an additional two hours. We had an excellent experience.

Technician was nice and knowledgeable. Pleasure to have him in our home. However, problem is NOT fixed. Was out from March-August. Company states they can do nothing more to fix generator problem. Was advised to replace a full-size, wired in generator that is ONLY 6 years old. They state "there is nothing more they can do!" Would not recommend for generator issues, sorry.

I did not have to play phone tag with Pieper or with an answering machine, my call was answered the first time I called. The customer service woman was quite kind to me when I tried to describe what I thought I needed and the technician was just as considerate when he arrived to perform the work. The guy was very careful to keep my house clean and explain exactly what he was doing and why to me so that I understood what was going on. He was pleasant to work with and seemed to know just what questions to ask and where to find all of the information he needed.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! INITIALLY, MARK (WHO GIVES THE QUOTES) WAS THOROUGH, SEEMED KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND WAS PROFESSIONAL, BUT WHEN THE WORK WAS DONE AND WE HAD IT INSPECTED, IT DIDN'T PASS AT ALL; WHICH WAS THE VERY REASON WE HAD IT UPGRADED, TO BRING IT UP TO CODE. THEY VERY, VERY GRUDGINGLY CAME BACK TO DO THE JOB TO PASS INSPECTION AND THEY LEFT IT JUST A MESS AND BUTCHERED THE SIDE OF OUR HOUSE. IT LOOKS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. THERE WAS DEBRIS ALL OVER THE GROUND AND THEY BROKE OFF A TEMP GAUGE THAT WAS ON THE SIDE OF THE HOUSE AND LEFT THAT IN PIECES ON THE GROUND. WE ARE EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE WORK AND THEIR UNWILLINGNESS TO DO THE JOB RIGHT. WE HAVE A SUPERB ELECTRICIAN NOW THAT LOOKED AT THE WORK AND SAID HE WOULD HAVE DONE IT VERY DIFFERENTLY AND THEY DID A HACK JOB. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND NOR HIRE PIEPER EVER AGAIN.
Response from PIEPER ELECTRIC INC
"THIS IS NOT THE TYPICAL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE WITH PIEPER ELECTRIC, INC. THE DEPARTMENT HAS BEEN UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT SINCE JULY 2005, AND HAS BEEN SERVING CUSTOMERS WELL."

AN AFTER-NOTE: I HAD SOME SEPARATE REMODELING DONE IN MY HOME WHICH REQUIRED AN ELECTRICAL INSPECTION. WHILE I HAD NOTICED THE WORK WAS RATHER SLOPPY AND THE OUTLETS UNEVEN, THE INSPECTOR ALSO FOUND PROBLEMS WITH THEIR WORK, INCLUDING THAT IT WAS NOT EVEN UP TO CODE (FOR ONE, THEY RAN ONE OF THE CIRCUITS RIGHT THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF A DUCT, AND THEY DID NOT LEAVE SUFFICIENT CLEARANCE AROUND THE JUNCTION BOX), BOTH WHICH I HAD MY NEW ELECTRICIAN RE-DO. ASIDE FROM THEIR VERY HIGH RATES ($69/HOUR) AND APPARENTLY REGULAR OVER-CHARGING, I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THEIR WORK.

THE WORK SEEMED TO BE DONE BY INEXPERIENCED PEOPLE. IT TOOK SEVERAL CALLS TO SUPERVISORS TO GET THE WORK DONE AND GET THE WORK DONE RIGHT. THEIR LACK OF SERVICE DELAYED THE COMPLETION OF THE GARAGE.
