Delivered same day or following day. Fast, friendly, honest, and low cost. Accidentally overpaid a small amount on first delivery. Jim insisted that he reimburse me. What else can you ask for?

Jim was great! Very personable, professional, and punctual. We needed to get the soil earlier than originally scheduled and Jim happily accommodated. After the delivery, he stayed a bit and we talked about a variety of things.
Jim understands that people don't do business with companies...they do business with people.
I would highly recommend his service.

Owner very responsive and helpful with soil choices. Turned up on time and was able to dump exactly on the tarp I had laid out. The soil he picked up is beautiful. Black and loamy and very clean. Little or no weed activity. This company is the best and I would recommend to anyone.

The gentleman who owns the business is a retired firefighter (I believe). He is incredibly professional and promptly returns calls. I just call up and let him know what I am looking for. He helps to estimate quantities and gives the price over the phone. He always comes when scheduled and is polite throughout the delivery process.

We started a new raised garden from scratch and decided to buy quality soil to fill the area to be boxed in. "One Yard at a Time" returned our call that day or the next. We got quotes from several sources and this one was as cheap or better than others we called. the big plus was that he was the only one to advise us that "topsoil" and "garden soil" would not be the same thing. Their garden soil product (recommended) was mixed with sand and rotted manure. We scheduled a delivery date for the next week and he arrived on time, delivering a very attractive product (dark, consistent texture, fully composted). My husband said it smelled (I can't smell), but it wasn't an unpleasant smell. We planted in May and June and the results were beautiful. Only the cucumbers seemed to need fertilizer (fish emulsion) to get past yellowing leaves. We did fertilize and mulch later. The soil stayed light because we avoided walking on it, and drained well. As of the end of July we've harvested many 12 inch+ cucumbers (3 plants), 10 or so eggplants (3 bushes), a few red and 110+ tomatoes still green (2 bushes), and successful greens, broccoli and peppers and flowers. I conclude it is great garden soil. (Water more often if your garden is raised - this soil drains quicker.) NOTE: We used a formula to estimate how much we needed and this turned out to be much more than enough! Also, I only rate B for price, because I WISH it were cheaper - haven't found cheaper yet for a product like this.

We ordered traffic bond and dirt to raise our patio and fill in around our driveway replacement. He was helpful on the phone, and the only place I found that would deliver less than a yard of traffic bond. He was on time, and put the material where we wanted it. I was pleased with his service.

I contacted One Yard at a Time to have mixed-hardwood mulch delivered. I was quoted a per yard price ($30) and delivery charge ($40), which was exactly what was billed at delivery. They were very flexible about when they could deliver and arrived exactly on time! The mulch was dumped exactly where I requested. Great, easy experience -- I will definitely use them again next spring.

We would leave him truckloads throughout the summer; he was very good at accommodating whatever we needed. He was very good to work with; he had an injured arm at the time, too. He's very personable. He always gave us a nice bulk price.

We call Jim and he delivers exactly as requested, often the next day. He's always prompt and just does a great job (places where we ask, etc.) He's also nice to work with. We have very high standards for our own business and are pleased when we find others who have the same expectations of themselves.

It was terrific. The personal service is incredible. Jim, the owner, does all the work. He came over the day after I called and discussed our needs. He delivered, in three trips, all of the dirt on Labor day weekend. He is very personable and very reasonable. We bought 5 yds of top grade soil and 2 yards of brown dirt. He even pulled his truck around so we could distribute the soil more easily. They were wonderful.

Jim Celoni was wonderful! He came by the house and looked at our landscape project to offer suggestions. He then returned the next day with several mulch samples for us to consider. The following morning he delivered the mulch at exactly the time promised. All of this took place within 48 hours of the original visit to the house. I would highly recommend Jim and One Yard At A Time to anyone. He is very honest, prompt and courteous. What a wonderful experience!
