2006 Toyota Corolla, I took my vehicle to O'Gorman and Sons Automotive for a second opinion.
I took it there because it was close to my house and the shop had received favorable reviews.
My first impression of the shop and Dan (owner) was very positive. The
shop was very clean and organized. Dan was courteous and professional
as he listened to my "tale of woe". In short order, he was able to correctly diagnose the
issue as a plugged heater core and not an inoperable blend door in the
air box, as the dealer had claimed. In other words, for about 1/20th of
the price, Dan FIXED the problem, whereas the dealer's "diagnostic"
(yes, I was charged for that) solution would have resulted in a huge
financial outlay that would have left the problem unsolved! The day
after Dan fixed the vehicle, I drove it to Chicago and back. The issue
was definitely fixed, and at a good time, as winter weather has really
settled in. I was more than pleased by my experience with Dan and
highly recommend his shop.
