They did a great job. The actual work that they did would have been an A but they were supposed to be contacting some other people that did different work and that's where the whole thing kind of fell apart because nobody ever followed up. I think the price was fair. Responsiveness was a problem. They were always here when they were supposed to be here at the right time. We may go back to them for the landscaping part but not anything else.

They are willing to do a small or a large yard. They charge for a job done fast and they do it right.

Instead of planting the plants they showed us ahead of time and which we approved, they planted end-of-the-season plants that didn't last through the summer. They also substituted other plants and trees for the ones we had originally contracted. They did not dig out the daylillies; they just chopped off the heads and they came back the following year tenfold. After my husband let them know we were not happy, they came back (the following summer) and dug out the daylillies. We had to replace every single plant that they planted. We would not recommend them to anyone.

My first priority was to replace a crumbling concrete porch and a couple of concrete slabs that were no longer level, but I also wanted to add some curb appeal to my plain, white Cape Cod. I went to the Milwaukee Home and Garden Show expecting to get educated on poured and stamped concrete. After talking with Rodger Northouse however, I decided that brick pavers were the way to go, because they can be replaced individually rather than replacing an entire slab. I explained the concrete problems that needed to be resolved as well as my ideas and goals for the landscape. Rodger visited the site several times to make sure my concerns were addressed, and after several revisions and visits to local nurseries, the plan was finalized.

Work started about a month later. The team of workers was very professional and curteous. They left the site clean each evening, and made sure that the noise of stone cutting wasn't done too early in order to avoid disturbing the neighbors.  They saved bushes that I wanted to re-plant and blocks from the retaining wall that would be re-used later. There was constant communication about the status of the project and upcoming activities. When the crack in the basement was discovered, Rodger consulted an expert and made recommendations on how to address it. The project took a little longer than expected, but this was mostly due to rain delays.

Overall, I am thrilled with the project, from the excellent customer service in the planning and execution to the meticulous attention to detail and the quality of the final product. The brick work in the curved stoop and walk went far beyond my expectations. The entry to my home is so much more welcoming than before, and there is something interesting to see from anywhere you stand. I have a standard city lot, and my initial concern was that there may be limited possibilities for a yard this small; however, Northouse kept the design true to the scale of my house and yard, and I am amazed with the results.

RODGER DID A FANTASTIC JOB FOR US AND WAS VERY EASY TO WORK WITH. HE HELPED US SELECT TREES TO REMOVE FROM OUR YARD IN ORDER TO GET EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED OUT OF THE SPACE, AND HE CAME UP WITH A LONG-TERM, COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE REST OF OUR YARD AS WELL. HE WAS ALWAYS VERY RESPONSIVE AND RETURNED ALL OF OUR CALLS WITHIN ONE DAY. HIS CREW WAS ON TIME AND DID A THOROUGH CLEAN-UP JOB AFTER THE TREES WERE REMOVED. OUR YARD ALREADY LOOKS GREAT, AND WE HAVEN'T EVEN SEEDED YET! WE WILL DEFINITELY HAVE THEM BACK TO DO MORE WORK FOR US IN THE SPRING.
