North Shore Bank Mortgage Loan Professional Patty Akerlund and Mortgage Processing & Closing Manager Sarah Frutchey were wonderful to work with.  I obtained competitive quotes from two of the area's best-regarded mortgage-loan brokers and two other banks and North Shore Bank had the lowest rates.  Patty clearly explained North Shore Bank's loan options and the interest rates, closing costs, and possible closing credits for each option.  Patty obtained a great rate on a no-cost 30-year fixed refinance mortgage loan for us and  arranged a prompt appraisal.  Patty had promised that if our home appraised better then we had antcipated, the bank might be able to increase our closing-cost credit.  When our home did appraise better than we had anticipated, Patty did exactly that: without any request from me, Patty arranged for an increased clossing-cost credit, as she had promised.  The closing went very well and the bank's closing agent, attorney Scott Hutchison, was great to work with.  I have obtained mortgage loans from other mortgage brokers in the past and, although those experiences were also consistently positive, North Shore Bank offered even lower rates than those lenders and Patty Akerlund's service was absolutely first rate and exceeded my expectations.  I would highly recommend North Shore Bank, Patty Akerlund, and Sarah Frutchey to anyone seeking to obtain a mortgage loan in the Milwaukee metro area.

They are friendly and have nice hours. They are very prompt and I do not have to wait in lines forever. They are safe with what they do. They do recognize you when you come back, so they do not treat me like a stranger. They are very personable. They were very quick at catching some fraudulent activity that was trying to happen. They called us right away about it. They have a 24-hour ATM machine.
