They had the machine for about 3 weeks but did a great job on the repair.

Every time I need a machine that needed repairing, they always told me what the problem was and what the cost would be. You could go in and ask questions. They're just very helpful. I said I'm going to need a sewing machine that doesn't need repairs again. They did sell me a reconditioned machine that doesn't need repairs in over 5 years. I liked their willingness to answer questions without a fee.

I have always used Milwaukee Sewing Macine for cleaning and repair of my sewing machines and have bought 2 machines here. They charge $100.00 for cleaning and general maintenance of a machine and I don't know if that is high as I haven't yet used any one else. My concern is with the decline in customer service. I ordered a new foot pedal for my sewing machine and paid for it before it came in as they would not give me back my sewing machine unless I paid for the ordered part first. OK, fine, but the original owner's son, Don Jr, was just too rude. He told me if I didn't want to pay for the foot pedal ahead of time he would just cancel it. I picked up the machine and paid for the foot pedal and waited and waited and waited and waited for the foot pedal. I called once and e-mailed once asking about the pedal and Jr would respond by telling me he would call his supplier, but he never called me back to tell me what he found out. After 5 weeks, I e-mailed him and told him to cancel the order and credit my credit card. No response. I e-mailed him again and told him I would be filing a complaint with the BBB if he didn't credit my credit card. No response. I tried one last time by e-mailing the original owner, Don Sr. and I got an unpleasant voice mail from Jr telling me he would cancel the order, but "it's not my fault that my supplier isn't sending the part." Well, it sure as heck wasn't my fault and regardless, cancel the order and credit my account! I now have the credit back. I ordered the part online from a company in California, for $30.00 less, no shipping, no tax, and 5 days later it's at my door. Take what you will from this review. Milwaukee Sewing Machine had excellent customer service when Don Sr was in charge. I will be taking my machines elsewhere from now on.

Took a quick look at the machine and determined that it could be repaired quickly if he still had the parts. After finding the parts I needed (ca. 10 minutes), the work was done and I was out the door in about 1/2 hour. If the source of the problem had not been found, the machine would be left for a free estimate and I would been informed of the repairs needed and cost before work was started.

I brought it in on a Monday morning, explained what it needed to the very friendly staff and was stunned when my husband called to say it was ready later that same afternoon. He picked it up; we paid a very reasonable fee, and I'm happily sewing again. I am thrilled to have discovered this company.

THEY DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM AT ALL AND IT WAS A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

Both on the phone and in person, the clerks were very helpful and polite. I took the machine in on Wednesday afternoon; it was ready on Friday afternoon. The broken gears (old parts that had been replaced) were returned to me without asking. Their store was very clean, and appeared to be a very active business. My sewing machine runs as well as it did 35 years ago.
